tempt to catch-up by scoring
two goals in the third period.

put the icing on the cake.

Mustangs lose second of year
by Bryan Marriage
The Walkerton Black
Hawks, with the help of
referee Allan Dawe, handed
the Clinton Mustangs their
second defeat of the season, 6-
4 in Walkerton Sunday af-
ternoon.
The Clinton team went to
Walkerton minus Steve Cook
with the *flu and Pete
Thompson with an injury.
When the game ended, Greg
Butler had left with a
shoulder injury and John
Graham, Tim MacLean, Paul
Helesic and coach Dan
Colquhoun had all departed
with game misconducts.
`The game misconducts
resulted in referee Allan
Dawes' inability to call minor
penalties until the game was
completely out of control. In
two incidents to the
Walkerton team, one player
received a ten- minute
misconduct which he never
served and another player,
who received two major
penalties for fighting which
calls for an automatic game
misconduct, was allowed to
continue playing.
Anyway, when the game
was finished Walkerton came
away with the victory after
firing 48 shots at Clinton
netminder Dean 'Ryan while
Clinton could manage only 29
against Walkerton.
Scoring for Clinton
handled by John Hart,
Helesic, newcomer Jamie
Richards and Tim MacLean.
Former Mustang Bruce
MacDonald also has signed
with Clinton and is expected'
to see action this weekend.
Last Friday in Clinton, the
Hanover Barons came to
town and produced a lack-
lustre effort as the Mustangs
skated to a 12-3 victory.
Hanover scored once each
period while the Stangs
scored two in the first, seven
in the second and three in the
third.
Steve Cook, Neil Colquhoun
and Tim MacLean each
scored twice for Clinton,
while Paul Helesic, Paul
Preistap, John Graham,
Jamie Richards, Chris
Cossitt and Bill Roy each
fired singles. John Graham
also had four assists.
Derek Divok had an easy
night in goal for the Stangs
facing 28 shots while Joe
Sullivan in the Barons' net
