°.Well, were back
Well, we're back
Again school opeJ ; its
doors to students at....r the
Christmas - New Year's
break. We hope that your
Christmas was joyous and
memorable, and, as for the
New Year's well....
We are sure that the af-
ternoons of the past week
have proven conclusively to
all students that television
really is a "vast wasteland".
Actually, "Sesame Street"
Stands alone as intelligent
daytime programming.
We won't attempt to
pretend new-found en-
thusiasm for the second term.
Somehow, the words "Happy
New Year" ring with hollow
mockeiy for the student.
Still, it could be worse - this
could be September.
What to do when
there's nothing to do
by Cathy Wooden
Every once in a while,
during a lunch period or the
occasional spare, we all get
tremendously bored.
Studying is certainly out of
the question, so what can ya
do?
Here are a few handy time
killers that I find enjoyable.
1. Wallpaper, your locker.
2. Knock on the staff lounge
door and run.
-3. Go to the cafeteria and
order a hajnburger, no meat.
4. Count the number of
fountainsthat work .
5. Count the number of
washroom doors that lock.
6. Go to the library and ask
Miss Stonehill to help you
locate some information.
When she asks you what kind
of information, say, “Oh, I
don't know, hadn't really
thought about it, actually."
7. Write a love letter to Mr.
Howard.
8. Follow a custodian around.
9. Using the pay phone, call
'the office and ask to talk to
yourself !
10. Rearrange the contents of ,
a friend's locker.
11. Harrass a teacher.
12. Go to the carpentry shop
and, ask Mr. Craig if you can
build something.
13. Find Miss Burch and ask
her how babies are made.
