Elimville,
Miss Clara Miller, who has been sick for
several months, passed through death's last
door on Friday last. She bore her affliction
with chriCtian patience and resignation and
passed away with a bright hopa of future
glory. Her mortal remains were interred in

1887 it is recorded that Clara, eldest
daughter of Mr. David Miller, of this
place, departed this life at the young and
promising age of 17 years and 7 months. ,

and vigorous womanhood. Some nine
months ago Clara became afflicted with a
very painful knee, the disease partaking
the nature of a scrofulous affection. The
pain gradually increased in intensity, the
knee becoming much swollen, until it as-
sumed such proportions as to become un-

A few days ago Mr. James Walker, of the
9nd con., It R. S., Tuckersmith, lost two
horses under somewhat singular cireum-
stances. He was out at the stable one night
feeding his horses when he noticed a three
year old. mare acting as if she was in pain,
but before he could. get any assistance she
was dead. She had taken her feed and
seemed perfectly well only a few minutes be-
fore. A few mornings afterwards on going
into the stable he found a yearling eolt
stretched out cold and stiff. It too had
eaten its feed the night before and seemed in
perfect health.
