Payne Kinettes The annual Christmas activities of the Kinette club of Hensall have had far- reaching results throughout the community. Under the leadership of tit Mrs. Donna St. John, shut-ins were visited ori December 12 and m.rtiature poinsettias given to them for Christmas. Donna also organized „a visit to the Queensway Nursing Home on December 21 when gifts were presented to each of the patients by children of the Kinettes (the Kin Kids). As well, Cheri Bonthron was in charge of a children's Christmas party on December 15 at which there was a puppet show and a visit from Santa Claus, who distributed candy to all the children. These leaders and their committees are to be thanked for all the volunteer work they did. The December Kinette meeting took place on Wednesday, December 14, at the Country Spire, starting with a shopping tour there. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hummel of London visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Oesch on Kinsmen draw The Kinsmen Club of Hensall and District held their second annual 150 Club Draw at the Hensal•1 Legion on Saturday, December 17. The winners are as follows: first prize of $500, Jim St. John, Sunderland, Ontario; second prize of $100, Grant St. John, Hensall; third prize of $50, Bill Walsh, Seaforth. There were 12 consolation` prizes of $25: J. A. Black, London, Ontarip; Len Smale, Hensall; Harold Knight, Hensall; George Varley, Kippen; Lorne Taylor, Varna ; Earl McNab, Hen- sall; Peter Zwann, Hensall, Corky Schroeder, Exeter; Gary Kyle, Exeter. Our $500 winner, Jim St. John, was also fortunate enough to win $25 and Greta Baker won twice in the $25. draws. The last regular meeting of the Kinsmen Club of Hensall and District for 1977was held in the form of their annual Down at the local lanes Clinton -Blyth Ladies The Fantastic "5" is in first place with 12 points and Joan's Pin Poppers is close behind with 11. The Wandering Five and the Earthquakers are both tied with nine points and the Merry Mixers and the Foxy Bunch are also tied with eight points. The Cooper's Angels have six and Davey's Dumplings is in last place with five. Judy Wilson had the high single of 258 and Edna II Atkinson had the, high triple of 644. Rena Kolkma'n had the high average of 213. Ladies' Tuesday Afternoon June De Ruyter had the high single of the day with 261 and the high triple of 658. Mona Campbell had the high average of 195. In the team standings, Boyes' Girls are first with 77 points and Hurman's Harem is second with 71. Rosie's Rebels and Nancy's Chics are both tied with 70 points apiece and the Campbell Supers and the June Bugs are both tied with 66 points each. Molson's Crown Mixed Marie Collins was the top lady bowler of the day as she split the high single with •v Betty Daer with 244 and then took the high triple with 662 and the high average with 210. In the men's scoring Bill Harris had the high single of 301 Ken Johnston. had the high triple of 800 and Art Burt had the high average of 242. YB,C Teen Debbie's Buddies have the top position with 57 points and the Bowling Bums are second with 52. The Chicken Coops are third with 41 and the Bobcats are last with 32, Debbie Alexander had the high single of 206 and the high triple of 575. Jackie Swan had the high average of 11..
