Speirs as the son's friend
Jimmie.
It was a true to life story of
a boy who had never heard
about the Virgin Birth of
Jesus. Mrs. Brown explains
to him about the Bible, then
Kim Talbot and Susann
Robson of the junior class
recited the Books of the Old
Testament of the Bible. The
beginners' class sang "Away
in a Manger" delightfully as
only beginners can do! The
primary and junior classes
sang "Tell me the Stories of
Jesus".
Later in the play as Mrs,
Brown is explaining to
Village' notes
Jimmie about Jesus and His
life on earth, the Young
Peoples class, with Joanne
Chapman and Johanne
Sturgeon playing their
ukuleles, sang "Let us Break
Bread Together on our
Knees".
Mrs. Brown tells how Jesus
died on -.the cross for all our
sins and that He rose again on
the third day and then the
congregation sang the well
known and loved Easter
Hymn, "He Arose".
After she tells about Jesus
going to Heavers, the very
beautiful song "The Holy
City" was sung by MiGs. Cathi
Cullen
After all the story is told
Jimmie accepts Jesus as His
Saviour, so he will be ready
when Jesus conies to earth to
claim His own and Mrs. Cathi
Cullen and Mrs. Ann Chap-
man sang "The King is
Coming". The program
closed with Jimmie saying
"WOW! This year I'll really
be able to celebrate the true
meaning of Christmas."
This program was well
done and greatly enjoyed
thanks to the Sunday School
staff and Mrs. Muriel Snider
at the piano and Mrs. Cathi
Cullen playing the organ.
The coming events for 'this
week include - a sleigh ride,
or wagon ride (depending on

magnet backs to take home to
their mothers.
They all gathered and sang
"Away in a Manger" and
closed with "Taps." They all
say thanks to the L.A. for the

mas gift for their mothers

Ecclesia§tes, Chapter 3, his
theme being "Laughter in the
Bible". He explained some of
the different kinds of laughter
that are mentioned in the
Bible. The Bible is God's holy
word, we should pause and
emphasize the Virgin Birth,
which a great many of the
people of the world today
laugh at. The redeemed soul
has a right to laugh with joy,
his sins are forgiven and he is
on his way to Heaven where
Jesus promised He would go
and prepare a place.
He said - in all things give
thanks, but laugh and be
On New Year's Eve,
December 31, at 8 p.m. there
will be a Watch Night service,
with a film "In His Steps"
and carols and hymns will be
shared. At ten o'clock there
will be refreshments served
in the Sunday School room,
followed by a time of singing
and testimonies and ending
by praying the old year out
