The Lessons were read by Rick Johnston, Linda McAlister, Pat Van Patter, Lorna Merner, Lillian Higgins, Harry Baker, Canon F.H. Paull. Simon Mould, Julie Mould, Luanne Erickson and Lydia Erickson lit the .four Advent Candles. Following the service, the congregation and Sunday School children retired to the Parish Hay where they viewed two films, "The First Christmas Tree" and "The Mouses Christ- mas," courtesy of Huron County Library and shown by Alf Scotchmer, A lovely lunch was enjoyed by all present and Santa Claus arrived to disperse gifts to the pupils and teachers. After Santa left, everyone joined in singing a number of Christmas Carols. An invitation is extended to attend the Christmas Eve Carols and Holy Communion Service at 11 pm and "on Christmas Day Rev. Bennett will conduct a Family Service of the short form of Holy Communion at 10 am. The children are invited to the Communion Rail to be blessed. Please, come as a family. (photo by Mary Chessell) Anglican Ladies Guild meets Trinity Anglican Church Ladies Guild met Tuesday afternoon at the home ofMrs. Jeanne Bennett with 16 members present, Mrs. Vera :Turner in charge. Mrs. Bessie }lulls read a poem entitled "Because of Love" and one entitled "Here's Where the Old Year Ends". . Cubs have Xmas party Last Saturday morning, the Bayfield cubs held their annual Christmas party. Each six was responsible for providing the entertainment of their choice. Mark Dennomme, Bobby Dunn; Billy Sinnamon Mark Westlake, Jamie Sauve each read a little poem, composed by themselves about the many different things' relating to Christmas and Jesus birth. The Red 'Six sang Christmas songs and carols accompanied on the guitar by Michael. Clark and The Blue six conducted games. Turn to page 12 • The president thanked Mrs. Bennett for having the meeting in her,home and also to all -who hahelped at the bazaar and bake sale held earlier. • The secretary's report was read by ,Mrs. Berthena Hammond and t'he treasurer, Mrs. Lorna Merner, gave her report and also read a letter from the'Guilds' Foster Child. Mrs, Ruby Fitzsimons reported on cards and flowers sent out to sick and shut-ins and read the list of Christmas cards which she will send out. During the business session, pians were finalized for the Sunday School party on Sunday Dec. 18. The January Scripture will be taken by Mrs. Fitzsimons and Mrs. Clara Wilson will be responsible for the Poem.
