Kinsmen hive .busy month with events
The Clinton Kinsmen Club
has ha'd a very busy
November and December is.
taking off where last month
left off.
As well as their annual
"Kinsmen Night" on
November 25, which raised
$2,500 for minor sports in
town, five members attended
the Belgrave Kinsmen Club's
charter banquet the same
night.
Attending the official
opening of the new club were
president Don Jefferson, Ron
Jewitt, Bob Mann, Graham
Bowker and Larry Jones.
At their last meeting in
November, the club decided
to write-off a $500 loan they
had made to the Colts
Intermediate Hpckey club
several years ago. The Colts
had folded this year, broke,
and after some discussion,
the Kinsmen felt it was better
to make a donation to the club
than make them face a huge
debt load.
Last Thursday night, the
Kinsmen had a good ciowd
out at the Sandpiper Inn for
their annual "buddy night".
They decided at that meeting
to give $50 to the Business
Smile
A housing development is
where they cut down all the
trees, and then name the
streets after them,

As well, the Kinettes have a
New Year's party set for
December 31 an0 number of
Kinsmen are practicing for
the second annual Kinsmen
hockey tournament to be held
in the Monkton arena on
January 28. The Clinton team
won the tourney last year.
In other business, the club
learned that six members
helped .Mrs. M. R. Brown of
Fulton Street move recently
into the senior citizens
apartment building on James
Street. The friendly movers
included Wes Chambers,
Larry Jones, Tom Feeney,
Ron Carter, Bill Makins and
Bill Hoskin.
The club also learned that
they have been twinned with
a service club in Great
Britain called the Cocker-
mouth Round Table 375 club,
in Cockermouth, Cum-
berland, England.

SANTA SLA
PARADE
Starting at 1:00 p.m. Parade starts from the pool en-
trance at the Community Park, and goes up Albert St.,
finishing at Huron Pines on King Street. And you can
watch for free!
*You can see great award winning floats.
* See the legendary hamburger King, dressed as a ham-
burger. Really. We wouldn't kid around with something as
important as this.
* This parade is soon to be Clinton's entry in Sam's Almanac
of Useless Facts, as the smallest parade in the world.
* C.B.C. T.V. has been notified, but first they have to come
up with the '100,000 for T.V. rights.
* We regret to inform the public that we received a letter
from the North Pole saying, that due to prior commitmen-
ts, Santa Claus has been forced to cancel his appearance at
our parade. However, his younger brother Subordinate
will be in the parade. Subordinate will be here, wearing
one of his brother's suits, the one he g-rew out of in 1953.

* Subordinate Claus will be sticking around town. He'll be
handing out free goodies at Buffy's Burgers to every kid,
and after he'll go over to C. & E. Hobby & Variety, giving
out more free goodies.
