Come See The Junior "C"
The Clinton Junior "C" Mustangs bre off to a fantastic start again this year, and in
their first 14 games, they have won 10, tied three, and only lost one.
Last year, the Mustangs made it to the league semi-finals with almost a completely
new team, and this year, with abalance of new and veteran players, they are already
dominating the Central Junior "C" League.
Currently, 1977-78 version of the 'Stangs is the top team in the league, and -are also
the league leaders with the best offence, and the stingiest goaltending.
Inside, courtesy of the many businessmen and merchants, the News -Record is proud
to presa"fn the players that make up this year's Mustangs, as well as the faces behind
the Scene who make the volunteer organization work. The club is self-supporting and
depends on the gate receipts, and money from draws, etc., to carry the expensive Toad
of running a Junior "C" club.
The Port Elgin Bears have been the only team this year to give the Mustangs real
trouble, so why not drop over to the Clinton Community Centre and watch the Mustangs,
under determined rookie coach Dan Colquhoun, bottle the Bears, starting at 8:30 p.m.
