Mr. George Lindsay of
Fredricton, N.B. has been
with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. John Lindsay from
Friday until Tuesday after
completion of a week's course
in Barrie.
Dr. Michael and Mrs.
Bennett, Erin, Jeanne,
Martha and Rhys of London
spent Sunday with his
parents, Rev. William and
Mrs. Bennett, while at their
cottage at Lakewood Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. John Siert-
sema visited Sunday with
Rev:' James Reddoch who is
hospitalized in Victoria
Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baker
visited Sunday with her niece,
Mr. and Mrs.. Pete Dobson in
Listowel.
John Graham and his sister
Nancy returned home on
Saturday after holidaying on •
the west coast. John had
spent a month with his older
sister Miss Barbara in
Surrey, B.C. and was joined
by Nancy for the last week.
While in Surrey another
Bayfield resident, Gary
Brandon, who is stationed
with the Armed Forces.,in
Victoria, B.C. was a guest of
Barbara, John and Nancy
and on their return home they
visited overnight with Mrs.
Lorelie Bjerg and family in
Regina, Sask.

Friday afternoon, Mrs.
Jack Gosnell, Mrs. Ethel
Lalonde, Mrs. Gladys
McIntyre and Mrs. Alice
Tunstall all of the ACW of the
Church `� of the Redeemer,
Highgate, a former charge of
Rev. Bennett, visited with the
Bennetts for the afternoon,
and celebrated the'birthday
of Mrs. Lalone.
Mr.- and Mrs. Delford
Altman of Orangeville visited
during the weekend with her
mother and family, Mrs.
Margaret Garrett, Diane and
John,
Miss Viola Cadger who has
been a resident of the Clan
Gregor Apartments has taken
up residence in the Bluewater
Res,thome in Zurich. We wish
Viola much joy in her new
horpe.
The UCW's of St. Andrew's
United Church should be
commended on furnishing the
new red carpeting throughout
the church. This was made
possible through the hard
work put into their annual
chicken barbecues and many
dinners that the women have
catered to in the past couple
of years.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Miller of
Cornwall were gu' s at the
Albion Hotel for the weekend.
Saturday guests with Rev.
William and Mrs. Bennett
were the couple's son-in-law,
daughter and grandsons, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Sharpe,
Patrick and Tyler of Oakville.

to the Village Cub pack and then let them have a ride on the new $50,000 pumper the
department has acquired. Steve, along with Les Elliott, explained that the department
was' started in 1947 after a fire burned down the Ritz Hotel because there was no fire

Hensall has won 'the Ontario
Canoe Racing Association
trophy for the second con-
secutive year. He par-'
ticipated in 26 races this year
and outpointed 120 other
members throughout the
province.

Morning prayer was held at
St. James Church at 11:15
a.m. Estelle Wise read the
lesson and Edward Wise and
Edward Deeves received the
offering. Sunday School was
held in the church hall with
Mrs. Lynda Steenstra in
charge. Rev. Wm. Bennett
was in charge of the service.

Diana is presently attending
the Agricultural College at
Centralia.

Arts and Crafts are asking
