Special choir Londesboro
The Huronia Children's
Choir from Exeter will be the
guest choir at., the evening
anniversary service at
Londesboro United Church
this Sunday evening, October
23 at 8 p.m.
This outstanding children's
choir, made up of 31 children
ranging in age up to 15 years,
is under the direction and
leadership of Mrs. Marianne
McCaffrey and Dr. Ralph
Topp. This ecurnenieal choir
brings together children from
the town of Exeter and
surrounding district in' lively
presentations of sacred music
in a variety of forms. "We
have discovered that younger,
children, in particular, love
the acting a'nd musical
vitality sof folk musicals,
which they are capable of
doing with great vigor", said
Mrs. McCaffrey. "Older
children enjoy the challenges
of more difficult music and
we hope to provide that
challenge."
This choir which was under
the, sponsorship of Exeter
United Church has presented
a variety of services at
churches throughout the
community. But after much
discussion and serious
thought, Mrs. McCaffrey and
' Dr. Topp came to the decision
that denomination should not
be a barrier to the presen-
tation of sacred music and so
the choir was made open to
all children of any
denomination.
Those' who have heard
these children are well aware
of the quality and variety of
musical ability they present.
Their first , attempt at com-
petition work resulted in
winning the Bradshaw
Trophy at • the Kiwanis
Festival in Stratford.
The Londe'sbpro United
Church will be celebrating its
anniversary this Sunday with

Langford of London as

residents.
Twelve Huronview

vitation to attend the flower
and plant display at the
Bluewater Centre on Wed-
nesday afternoon sponsored
by the Royal Botanical
Gardens, Hamilton.
The Clinton Kinette Club
entertained their adopted
grandmothers from
Huronview's ground floor
north and centre on Thursday
afternoon at a luncheon at the
Harborlite Inn at Godef'ich.
Six of < the club members

prophesies are so explicit and
the fulfillment so obvious that
it can be explained only by
being God's revelation.
