Holmesville
school news
On Thursday, October 6 the
boys and girls soccer teams
travelled to Brucefield and
played in a tournament. The
boys won in their division and
the girls came up with a very
strong second.
On October 6, there was a
presentation for the soccer
teams in the auditorium. Also
during this assembly, the
nominations for various of-
fices in the school was held.
The elections. took place on
October 12 and the results

HAYTER : I would like to thank
all my relatives and friends for
the cards, flowers, treats and
kind deeds while I was in the
hospital. Thanks to the first floor
nurses and Drs. of Clinton
Hospital. Thank you to Mrs.
Mervyn Hayter who went to
London with me in the ambulance
and also to the 3rd floor nurses
and Drs. Sheppard, Lindsay and

time of my operation, having me
at their home for a week after I
was released from hospital and

4-H News
Meeting four of the
olmesville 1 4-H club, the
Apple Dumpling Gang, was
held on October 17 at the
home of Mrs. Bettl•es.
The roll call, which asked
the girls to name a new fruit
that they learned about in this
unit or a new way of serving a
familiar fruit, was answered
by 15 members.
The club decided to use the
cover design that Mary Jean
l3ettles made up. The next
meeting was set for October
24 and the one after on
November 2.
Planning daily meals was
discussed by leaders and
members and also fruit at
breakfast, Punch, ' and at
dinner. Fruit as ,-an ac-
companiment was also
discussed.

,making oriental chicken and
it was enjoyed. Each person
