Playing in about the poorest conditions they have met this year, they were soon on the attack and at the 10 mknute mark Clinton's sharp shooter Charlie Wise opened the scoring from Garry Ryan of St. Columban. At the other end of the field the Niagara team was. forcing Rick Helm of Exeter to make some fine saves and it was the Ryan and Wise combination that put Huron County farther ahead when Wise beat the Niagara keeper from about 18 yards out. Wise again slipped the ball past the Niagara goalie making the score 3-0 for Huron County. Just before half time, Wise almost made it 4-0. Breaking in alone, he beat the advancing Niagara goalie only to see his shot slow down in the mud. , In the second half Niagara carne more into the game and with the local referee favoring the home team the Coupty boys' game went to pieces. Niagara scored two goals but it was not enough to stop theoHuron AIi•Stars from advancing into the next round. . Coaches Dave ,Silcock, Grand Bend; Tony Jeacock, Clinton, and Vie Alexander, Goderich, are hoping for a home game in., the quarter finals, then on to 'Toledo, Ohio, for the semi-finals and finals the last weekend in October.
