we can look to the future for hope.
This philosophy is effectively
shown, by the popular saying,
"tomorrow is the first day of the
rest of your life."
Therefore, we are not only
celebrating an end to something
tonight; we are celebrating a new
beginning. As in a journey, we
are at our point of departure, not
'knowing yet our destination. We
may however accept thi$ comfort
in John Keats' belief that "the
ultimate destination of every
traveller is always himself." This
pattern will repeat itself
throughout our lives, for with
every end there is a beginning - a
new hope for things to come.
May that new hope always be
with us: In the words of William
Wordsworth, "Fare thee well.
Health and the quiet of a health-
ful mind. Attend them seeking aft
the haunts of men, But yet more
often living with thyself and 'for
thyself."
You're going to,
need it.
