Clinton News-Record, 1977-09-15, Page 23t •0. 1 Passe Marcille to stage Shakeveare Paul Thompson, Artistic Director of Theatre Passe Murallle, will direct "Shakespeare For Fun and Profit - A Canadian Dream", which will play in the Theatre of the St. Lawrence Centre in Toronto prior to an Ontario tour in October and engagements across Canada. This colorful, lively show $ with a splash of language, 4 4 *lt farce and folk comedy will incorporate approximately 65 percent of the original text of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer N,ight's Dream, The TPM company will transform the location to 'a sleepy Ontario town and prove that even Canadians are: "such things as dreams and plays are made,of." Performances run from September 21 to October 1 in the Theatre of the St.' Lawrence Centre in Toronto. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. and tickets, are priced from $7,50 to $2.00. The handmade sloop features an inlaid teak deck, stainless steel and aluminum fittings, and a brand new technique for fastening the wood together, that eliminates several hundred pounds of screws. The firm hopes to go into production following a showing at the Toronto Boat Show this week. Featured along with -the draw will be entertainment "Playhouse Personalities" which will focus on some of the highlights in the Playhouse hikory. Cowell and his wife, Jacqueline, have been sleeping in a car at a friend's house in Clinton.
