mended Frank Rutledge this
week. He is credited with

people who were trapped
inside a car which caught on
fire following an accident.
Rutledge was passing when
he noticed the mishap on
Highway 86 just east of

rushed to remove the oc-
cupants only moments before
the car burst into flames,

purchase adifferent breed of
black and whites, Belted
Galloways, s'dys- the Blyth
Standard,
The name of these cattle
may not be familiar to many
people, which is un-
derstandable since the
Galloways are a rare breed
CLINTON
and Marshall has the largest
herd of registered Galloways
in Canada.
The Blyth Standard spoke
with Marshall, And found that
the animals, which are black
with the exception of a wide
white band around their
Middles, are a hardy breed
and calve easily.
Their endurance comes
from their homeland in South-
western Scotland where the

climate is cold and bleak. The
animals grow a heavy coat In
the winter to protect them
from the harsh conditions and
