Winner of the fastest division waS Gwen Johnston, by Evening, Time - Gwen Chief by Irish 'thief who paced the mile in 2:05.2. She has now won all six of her starts this year and has a record of 2:01.3. She is owned by Marion E. Johnston of Dresden and was driven by Ilill Gale. • • Terry Kerr had the second fastest time when he won with Lady Horton, by Horton Hanover - Debbie's Thought by Thoughtful in 2:06 for her owner Calvin and Dorothy Maddock of Forest. J. R. Ena had her seventh win of. the year, following a sudden rainstorm just prior M to the third race. She still managed to post fractions of :32.2 - 1:06 - 1:37.2 - 2:07.3 with Ken Hardy on the bike for owner Dr. Horace Alexis of Ottawa. She is by J. R. Bret - J. R. Amy by Blaze Pick and has a record of 2:02.2. Carman Hie, who failed to pick up any points last week in the driven competition finally go.ta wain at the Clinton track with Kid Sister, owned aoby Patricia Hanco of Stoney Creek, in 2:11.1 in the fourth division. Kid Sister is by Star Beacon - Famous Wick by Famous Hanover. Major Decision, a seven- year-old gelding, now owned 4by' Lorne Dale of Clinton was a winner of the first race in 2:12,.2 with driver Bill 41 Caldwell. Frank MacDonald finished second with Carol's Pet for owners May and Walter Pepper of Clinton. There was a mutual pay-off on the third place horse, Don S. Peen, owned and driven by Fred Jones of Thorndale of 92,.10. The ,only catch was nat there was only one ticket sold on him according to the announcer. Buchanan of Goerich in the 2:13.2 mile. Jeffrey Hi was fourth with John Muir up for •caner , Dale Kennedy of Seaforth. In the fifth race trot, Scarlet Walbob, owned -143y, Robert and Walter Daer of Goderich finished third for driver Frank Dam. , Goldie's Hit had a speedy trip in from Brussels after Jay Dee Dusty was a late scratch in the seventh race. The seven-year-old mare by ,mash Hit'- Golden Daley H. wned by Terry Rutledge of Clinton picked up her first win of the year in 2:12.2 with driver Frank MacDonald on the sulky. She has also had four seconds and one third from 12 starts. At Elmira on Friday night, Flame Messenger was third with Bill Rapson up for Evelyn Rapson of Holmesville. Truanna Duke won the third race in 2:10.1 for owner Wayne Horner. Dennis Jewitt finished fifth with Hazy Dares for Velma Bird of Crediton and was also fifth with Golden Chris for Franc Stroop of Fordwich. They are Roy Brown, John Elliott, Tony Gibbings and Charlie Wise. They join Andrew Cooper of Bayfield; Rick Helm of Exeter; Colin Alexander, Randy Graham, Steve Graham, George Kerr„, and Mike . Wedlock of Goderich; Billy Mennen, Nick Van- denberk, Andy and John Van Leeuwen of Grand Bend and Kevin Coyne of St. Cotumban. The coaching duties are shared by Dave Silcbck, Exeter; ,,Tony Jeacock, Clinton and .Vic Alexander of Goderich. These 16 boys will play in the Ohio Cup and will play a lot of their soccer in the U.S.A. Saturday August, 13th the boys played together for the first time in the Sarnia Bluewater Minor Soccer Tournament for All-Star teams. They lost their first game to the local Sarnia All - Stars 2-1.
