held their first church service

Senior Citizens of Zone 8
were very surprised when the
Lieutenant Governor, The
Honourable Pauline
McGibbon paid an unex-
pected visit to. their picnic in
St. Christopher's Beach,
Goderich on Sunday.
Mrs. McGibbon is
honorary president of the
Senior Citizens of Ontario and
was in Goderich to unveil two
plaques in the town, one at
Courthouse Square and one at
Harbour Park in honour of
the Queen's Silver Jubilee.
In a short speech,
Lieutenant Governor
McGibbon said hello to all
assembled and wished them.

signed a get -well card to
ailing zone president, Mrs.
Mary Gregg.
Services were resumed. in
Hensall United Church on
Sunday after the summer
break with Rev. Don Beck in
the pulpit. The sermon on
the subject, "Ask and it will
be Given You" was on
prayer. Insistence and
persistance are requisites for
prayer and the reward is
spiritual growth.

Mrs. Donna St. John sang

and I" as a solo.
Next Sunday, combined
services will be held at the
United Church when

are invited to join in worship
