At Clinton last Thursday
evening, the Clinton Colts
erupted for six big runs in the
sixth inning and went on to
defeat the Thorndale Angels
by a 7-2 score in the first
game of the semi-finals to
determine who will meet

Ontario jockeys to be at
Goderich Day
As you know, the Goderich
Raceway was unable to race
this year due to unfortunate
circumstances.
The Clinton Kinsmen and
racing secretary, Billie Hunt
have planned, to hold
"Goderich Day" to pay
tribute to the horsemen and
the dedicated members of the
Goderich Racing Fraternity
that have worked so hard
over the years to foster the
support of Harness Racing in
this part of the Province.
Mrs. Rita Parsons has
graciously offered to co-
sponsor the Alex Parsons
Memorial Pace. This event
will b e held at Clinton and
will be an'Invitation Pace for
a purse of $2000.
When Mr. Larry Gibbons of
the Ontario Harness Hor-
semen's Association heard of
our plans he offered his
assistance and has managed
to arrange with a number of
drivers from the Jockey Club
Circuit to participate in a
driver contest. Hunt was
pleasantly surprised at the
response to the request. A
tentative list of the drivers at
this time, Brent Davies, Ron
Feagan (a'Qoderich native)
Carman Hie, Tom Strauss,
Larry Walker, Dave Wall and
Ron Waples. Bill Wellwood
has offered to be an alternate
if someone has other com-
mitments. -
With assistance from the
weatherman, the Clinton
Raceway is looking forward
to a very successful day.

Cottage Owners,

Until a few years ago winter provided protection to cottage
owners, deep snow preventingaccess to the property.
However the snowmobile has changed all that and today
thieves have over -snow mobility for themselves and their
toot.
You purchased insurance protection against Toss but any
claim must be substantiated in detail. WHAT have you lost?
Can you identify yobr own property and possessions if they
are recovered? Can you describe the items that have
disappeared? ,
Written inventory records are one of the things that most of
us have put off until„a rainy day. An inventory list is seldom
complete and is usually cumbersome.
A picture is worth a thousand words. A collection of colour
slides showing every room in the building and outside
property can be kept in your safety deposit box and the
pro ected slides are a visual inventory of contents should the
need arise.
Discuss, your security needs with R. Howey Langan and
