Solgist was 'Helen Anderson who was ac- companied* by organist, Lenore McGregor. Rev. McDonald gave •a children's story and the junior,teachers were, Margaet Gross and Sally Pollard., The flowers on the memoriam% stands were placed by , Ross anal Bill Millson and their families in loving memory of their mother Mrs. Russell Fleming of Seaforth. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Presczator also gave flowers in 'lowing memory of his father William Presczator of Exeter. Cheerio Club The Cheerio Club met on Tuesday, July 19 at the home of Edyth Beacon acting as president. She opened the meeting with the theme "Vacation time" along with a reading. Margaret Good followed with the reading of a Hymn. The minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer's report were given by Gladys Armstrong. A thank -you was received by Lloyd and Nora Pipe and Ida Durnin. Roll call was answered by a current event with 10 members and one visitor, Mary Clarke, present. Readings were given by Margaret Good, * Tri Duizer and Edyth Beacom, With' Mrs. Beacom's reading, they discovered how some Canadian places got their name - some are unique, som.e are homemakers, some are colorful, some after birds, animals and fish. Contests were held: testing your memory by Tri Duizer, won by Mary Longman; kitchen articles beginning with "C" by Margaret Good, won by Nora Pipe. . The next meeting will be group '3 at the home of Mary. Longman on August 17. A few games of cards were played and lunch was served by Edyth Beacom, Tri Duizer and Margaret Good. °Shobbroyok reunion The 42nd annual reunion of the Shobbrook family was held on Sunday, July 3 at the Seaforth Lions Park. Approximately 50 people were in attendance ; and a lovely smorgasbord dinner was served. A minute of silence was observed in memory of those ° who passed' away. President Bill Crawford ,conducted the meeting, and the minutes of the last picnic were read by Wayne Crawford. It 'was named and seconded that the next reunion in 1978 be held at the Seaforth Lions Park. Officers for 1978 were elected as follows: honorary president, Bill and Joan Crawford;' president, Ross and Muriel' Millson; vice- president', Cliff and Kaye Saund.ercoGk; secretary, Both Knox; sports; Bill •and Verna Gibbings and Jack -and Doris. Andkrson.; refresh- ments, Gordon and Darlene Shobbrook and Bert and Dora Shobbrook; nominating, Harold and Rose Crich. Sports were conducted by Charlie, Shirley, Julie and Diane 'Shobbrook, The oldest member present was Laura Saundercock ; coming from the farthest distance was Eddie and Mae Crawford 'of Manitoba; the youngest was Kristen Crawford; guessing the number of candies in a jar was Marjorie Crawford. In the races the winners were: boys, five to six years, Jim Crawford; girls seven to nine years, Shelley Crawford; boys, 10 to 12 years, Bradley Shobbrook; girls 40 to 12 years, Dori Ellerby; boys, 13 and over, Frank Ellerby; girls, 13 and over, Angie Andrews; mens card --relay, Gordon Swan and ladies card relay, Cathy Gibbings. Personals' Mr. Bob Burns was ad- mitted to Clinton Hospital on July 21 and returned home on July 25. Visitors on Monday, July 18 with Mrs. Myrtle Fairservice were Mrs. McGorman and Mrs. Nichols of Wayside Interiors in Stratford, who entertained her to dinner and attended the Blyth Summer Festival. Mrs. Bessie Roy of Red Deer Alberta returned to her home on Saturday after spending two weeks with her niece; Mr: and Mrs. Al Volk. A reunion of the . Roy families was held at Ball's Grove on Sunday, July 17 with 50 to 60 attending from Russeldale, St. Catherines, Red Deer, Alberta and Londesboro. Mrs. Ken Doupe of London is' spending a few days with her sister-in-law, Mr. and' Mrs. Al, Volk. Also at the. same home is Mrs. Volk's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andre* Gibson of St. Catherines. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Arie Duizer is his nephew, Gerrit Duizer of Holland. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Millson and family of Woodstock spent some time last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Shobbrook.
