Diane was ,seated in a decorated chair with her mother Mrs, Ken Preszcator and grandmother Mrs. bill of Crediton, all beings pinned with rose corsages. • A .short program was held, opening with Mary Lou and Jane Anderson singing two songs followed by a . "plan- ting" contest condluhted. by Mary Merner,`'"won by Ella ,Jewitt and Amiie Dale. Carolyn Thompson with Dianne Stevenson playing the accordian conducted a musical contest "A Love Story", was won by Doreen Carter, Dianne played. a few more selections for a sing song DurY'Tig the. evening, everyone enjoyed looking through a Bride's Book made by Nancy Preszcator. Helen Lawson read the address and Diane was presented with many useful. gifts and she thanked everyone. For She's A Jolly Good Fellow was sung and lunch was served and a. social time was enjoyed. Diane's maid of honour, her sister Linda Dillon of Seaforth, and bridesmaids, Mary Ellen Knight and Elaine Pfaff of Crediton were in attendance. Mr.. and Mrs. Walter McClure and family spent Tuesday and Wednesday on Manitoulin Island and had a ride on the ferry. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson McClure, Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Floyd enjoyed a barbeque supper with Mr. and Mrs. Sam McClure on Sunday evening. Court Constantine L1842 held their monthly meeting on Thursday evening ' July 1 4th held at the hall. - Committee reports were heard on the bus trips to Toronito, chicken barbeque, the Dessert Euchre with proceeds going to the cancer .fund and reports on the barbeques in the future - July :'0, Milton Dietz and Don Buchanan, July 31st, Blyth Centennial. Mr. and Mrs. Reg Lawson, John and Elizabeth attended the Crich picnic on Sunday held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Crich near Cargill. Sympathy of the com- munity is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Ken Preszcator and family on the ,passing of his father Mr. Bill Preszcator on Monday evening in Exeter. victor Falconer, youngest son of Stan and Kay Falconer of Clinton has successfully passed his basic training with the Canadian Armed Forces, fir 1'orcc Branch, as a Safety system Technician. He will be leaving for Edmonton, Alberta' on August 2,, after spending a three week holiday at home.
