The win all but sewed up first place for the Colts as they now lead the Tigers by three full games with five games remaining in the schedule. Don MacDonald, who has been on a hitting,, spree as of late, banged out five hits in Six trips to the plate to -lead the Colts. In his last 15 at bats MacDonald' has collected 12 hits to raise his season's batting average to .467.- He trails league , `leader Dan Colquhbun , whq °is batting an uriheari of .55C Don MacDonald opened the game with a double down the • left field line. , Colquhoun singled and both runners scored as Richard Welch doubled to right centre. The Colts added another run in the third off Tiger starter and loser Perry Stover, when Don Bartliff singled home Butch Fleet who had singled to start the rally. In the Colts' fourth inning they exploded for six big runs chasing Stover. Five singles and a Dashwood error accounted for the runs. The -Tigers finally got to Colts hurler Mark Nicholson by scoring two runs in the seventh on Brad Greigus' two run single with runners on second and third. Seaforth got their only goal of the game on a well taken free .kick which gave Jim Fleming no chance to save it. This put new fire back into the Stallions and Sean Van Dongen got his Second goal of the -game on a pass from Charlie' Wise. It was the Elliott -Wise combination in reverse which got ,goal 'dumber eight. John scored on a pass from Charlie. Clinton shares, top spot in the league with St. Columban at this time, but St. Columban• has a game in hand.
