Colts first ace

defeated the Dashwood
Tigers for the fourth time this
season by the tune of 13,•2. The
win all but sewed up first
place for the Colts as they
now lead the Tigers by three
full games with five games
remaining in the schedule.
Don MacDonald, who has
been on a hitting,, spree as of
late, banged out five hits in

The regular meeting of the
Stanley Township Recreation
Committee was held
Tuesday, June 28, with seven
members present.
Final plans were made for
the township picnic.

the Stallions and Sean Van
Dongen got his Second goal of
the -game on a pass from
Charlie' Wise. It was the
Elliott -Wise combination in
reverse which got ,goal

a pass from Charlie.
Clinton shares, top spot in
the league with St. Columban
at this time, but St. Columban•
has a game in hand.

the Clinton "Bombers" 9-0 on
July 3rd.

In second Division League
play at the weekend. the
Clinton Soccer Club lost to
Delhi Royals by a 4-2 margin.
Although Clinton was first
on the scoresheet with.a goal.,
'from Brian Jewitt after fif-
teen minutes of play and
despite the fact that Clinton
outplayed Delhi for 90 per
cent of the game, Clinton
again made .costly 'defensive
errors which resulted in goals
and found themselves down 2-
1 at half -•time.

controlling most of the.play
and producing some • fine
moves especially when Chris
Brooks, Alex Harrett and .Bill

while Brian Kennedy worked
like a Trojan trying to- get
Clinton on top.

it 3-1 when three defensive
mistakes were made ' one
after theother allowing their
winger unimpeded access to
