He was born in Goderich on January 2, 1915 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Howard. He was a teacher and head of the, geography department at Listowel District Secondary 4School. He was a member of the Trinity United .Church in Listowel. He was one of the directors of . the- Listowel curling club. • - He was predeceasedby one sister, Mrs. Helen Mueller of London.
