Councillor resigns. post
Council of the Village of
Bayfield met in regular
{_session Monday evening. and
accepted with regret the
resignation of Milvena
Erickson as a councillor, to
take affect as soon as
possible.
Correspondence. included a
request from the advertising
committee of the. Inter-.
n`ati°oval 'Plow -man's
Association to attach a sign to
the existing signs entering the
committee, to advertise the
Plowing Match in 1978.
Council had" no objection, but
referred the letter to the
Lions Club who maintain the
signs. a _.

will ---host eight squirt teams
(6-8 year .olds),: in Bayfield on '•
Saturday, July'9. The teams
competing, are from Clinton
Goderich, Grand Bend, StAllIr
Columban and Bayfield.
Baptist Church news
The weekly servicesat the
Bayfield _Baptist --Church
started Sunday morning with
Sunday School at ten o'clock,
where there were classes for
all ages from the nursery to ,.
the adults.
The Pastor; Rev. Brian
Harrison was in charge of the
morning worship service and
used as his text. Isaiah 5:
verses 1 to 7. Last Sunday his
subject was the Privileges of
being a Christian.
The monthly Communion
service continued with the
study of the book of Daniel, in
chapter 9. For -special music
the Camp Councillors from
Camp Canby rendered two
lovely numbers both with
instruments and voices and
this was very much enjoyed
and appreciated by all.
. Next Sunday, Missionaries
Mr. and Mrs. Carl - DeBoer
and family will be the special
speakers, and the service will '
• be followed by a picnic style
lunch at the Church.
Everyone is asked•to bring
a food to share add table
