Residents want public washroom
Several residents attended
the regular meeting of
council 7 on Monday evening
and complained about the
lack of washroom facilities in
the Village.
Merchants are very upset
at having to supply
washrooms to the public.
Council has ordered portable
facilities for the summer but
they have not arrived a yet.
Hopefully this will ease the
situation considerably.
The merchants also asked
that they be allowed to erect a
sign to advertise the biIsiaess
district. Permission was
given through council, but
approval must be obtained
from the Ministry of Tran-
sportation and Com-
munications regarding size,
location, set back etc.
Council granted permission
to the baseball teams to
remove the back stop in the
municipal grounds and to
repair and erect it in a more
suitable location in the
Agricultural Park.
Council agreed in principle
to expanding the arena ap-
proximately 30 feet in a
westerly direction in order to
build the new arena
regulation size.
They also agreed to the
purchase of ten new picnic
tables for Clan Gregor
Square, and received a letter
from the Lioness Club asking
permission to hold an annual
fund drive rather than can-
vass the Village several times
a year for donations to the
Heart Fund, cancer, Blind,
Ability,Fund etc, etc. Council

saying that Paul was in
