Improvement Competition is
a project which requires
immediate attention from it
those who intend to enter.
Pritus will he offered for the
most improved and - OI' most
attractive properties not only

but in the county's towns and
villages as well. Those who
have not yet received entry
and application forms may
pick them up at the offices of
the clerks of the
municipalities in which they

Here are a few.hints which
w 111 provide a guide to par-
ticipation in the competition:
The first step in improving
farmsteads and dwellings is
general clean up. Dismantle
and remove 01d buildings that
.ire beyond 'repair: remove
trash, useless machinery Lind
old vehicles: repair or

fences.
Application of paint to the.
house, farm buildings,
nl,ailbox, fences and related
structure, adds much *to
general appearance.
Display of the property
owner's name in a prominent
location is desirable.
Road entrance and
driveway, must not he
neglected. Attractive en-
trances are important as a
general first impression.

Food is again holding 4-H
Homemaking Club
Achievement Days in Huron
County. •
This club helped members
plan, select and make it
garment for leisure wear.
Special emphasis was placed
on the selection of .style and
fabrics for leisure wear, the
_ use of commercial patterns
0 and various trims such as
lace, eyelet and fringe.

the buildings, the entrance

improvements made after
July 1st, 19 and up to
'.August 1st, 19 S. An itemized

time of his visit : entries for
classes 4 and 5 must he in by
