Social News
This year, the week of April
-17-43, has been set aside as
Education week.
On April 19 and 20th,
Tuesday and Wednesday
by Blanche beeves
evening 8 p.m., the pupils will
present a "Charlie Brown"
Operetta. Mrs. Stewart and
the students have been
practising in "off " hours and
Saturdays to make' this a
success.
On Monday the 18_th, a dress
rehearsal will be held so the
pupils ,can attend and an
Tuesday a second rehearsal
will occur before an audience
of guests invited from the
immediate area.
In December, ap-
proximately 75 patients from
the Bluewater , Centre ,at-
tended the dress rehearsal for
the Christmas Concert and
they were quite pleased with
the reaction received from
this opportunity. Two dress
rehearsals are necessary as
two different groups of actors
participate in the two per-
formances. Since there has
been considerable expense
involved in this presentation,
they will have to charge a
minimum admission to the
operetta.
The tickets will be
available for either night at 50
cents each and these may be
purchased from the pupils
during the week of April 11-
15th. Many groups made use
of the school and the Prin-
cipal has said to please feel
free to visit or contact the
school at anytime. They
appreciate your kind interest
and support.
