UCW meets
,The Easter Thankoffering
meeting of Unit 4 of Hensall
United Church was held on
Thursday, April 7 afternoon
in the Fellowship Hall. Mrs.
James McAllister presided,
opening with a poem and the
hymn, "In the Cross of Christ
I Glory".
The devotional was con-
ducted by Mrs. William
Rogerson, reading from
Matthew 27 and 28 from the
Good News Bible. For the
topic, Mrs. Rena Caldwell
spoke on, "What Kind of a
World are we leaving for our
Children?" She quoted the
biblical verse, "Suffer the
little children to come unto
God". Discussion followed
this talk, and then Mrs.
Gordon Love read an Easter
poem, "An Easter
Meditation",
Mrs. McAllister conducted
the business when twenty
members answered the roll

call. The financial report was
given anti the friendship and
visitation report with eighty-
two visits being made during
the month. Unit 4 is
responsible for flowers in the
Sanctuary during the "month
of May.
A beef barbecue to he held
May 25. Members are asked
to bring Christmas cards,
used postage stamps and old
eyeglasses to the May
meeting for diffe rent
projects. The meeting closed
with prayer and a dainty
Middleton...
lunch followed during the
asocial hour.

having been a patient in

car accident last January.

Mrs. Ella Castle, who has
spent the winter with her
daughter, Mrs. W. Craig, her

few days at her home here.

daughter and son-in-law for
the winter were at their home
here and also visited with Mr.

We are sorry to learn that
Emerson has not been well
and hospitalized for a time in
London. He returned to
London with his daughter

returned to London Sunday
evening after a week's
vacation at St. Lucia and the
