UCW meets ,The Easter Thankoffering meeting of Unit 4 of Hensall United Church was held on Thursday, April 7 afternoon in the Fellowship Hall. Mrs. James McAllister presided, opening with a poem and the hymn, "In the Cross of Christ I Glory". The devotional was con- ducted by Mrs. William Rogerson, reading from Matthew 27 and 28 from the Good News Bible. For the topic, Mrs. Rena Caldwell spoke on, "What Kind of a World are we leaving for our Children?" She quoted the biblical verse, "Suffer the little children to come unto God". Discussion followed this talk, and then Mrs. Gordon Love read an Easter poem, "An Easter Meditation", Mrs. McAllister conducted the business when twenty members answered the roll (continued from page 9) call. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Scotchmer and three childrgn of Chatham were at their home here on the weekend. Mrs. Greta Scotchmer, who has spent two weeks with her son and family returned to the village with them, Mr. and Mrs. Don Haw, Anne, Bradley and Cathy spent Easter Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Daller, Keary and Scott of Brampton. They were accompanied home by Don's mother, Mrs. N. Haw who spent two weeks with her daughter, Doug and family. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heard, Stratford visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Russel Heard. Mrs. Ella Castle, who has spent the winter with her daughter, Mrs. W. Craig, her husband and family of Clinton, has been spending a few days at her home here. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vrieze, and Billie of Oakville visited on Easter•weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Smith. Mrs. Lulu Smith spent Easter weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rachich, Jen- nifer and Neghanof Ingersoll. Miss Mary Pounder, who is attending Fanshaw College in London spent the weekend with her parents Mr: and Mrs. Jack Pounder. Mrs. Lillian Penhale visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Bennett, Goderich on Easter Sunday. We are sorry to learn that Emerson has not been well and hospitalized for a time in London. He returned to London with his daughter Betty and her husband.
