Olds are second with 3,189
and Art's Volkswagons are
third with 3,101. Aldie's
Austins hold down fourth
place with 3,090 while Bart's
Buicks, have 2,863. Joost's
Jaguars are in the cellar with
2,776.
Afternoon Ladies
Things are tightening up in
the standings but Salad
Queens remain on top with
12,383 points. Pressure
Cookers are second with
12,358 and The Sinkers are
third with 12,332. Hot Pans
are in fourth with 12,242 while
Micro Waves are fifth with
11,871. The Blenders are in
the cellar with 11,746.
Elaine Boyes had the high
single and triple of 299 and 730
respectively. Rosemary
Armstrong had the high
average of 201.
Londesboro Ladies
Florence Cartwright had
the high single of 253 while
Delores Howatt had the high
triple of 649. Dorothy Carter
had the high average of 199
and Lynda Kennedy was the
most improved bowler with 18
pins over her average.
disposing of Forest in their
league semi-finals. They went
on to dump Wheatley
Canadians in six games.
Wheatley had beaten
Chatham Royals in the..,
seventh and deciding game of
the semi-finals.
This is the first year in
Intermediate hockey for the
Squires. They picked up most
of the players from last
year's Dresden Kings who
went to the OHA Inter-
mediate "C" semi-finals.

What's rolling at the lanes
YBC Teen League
Deb Cook led the girls with
a 326 single and 679 triple.
Suzie Chambers had the high
average with •196. Rick Carter
led the boys with a 273 single
* and 686 triple. George Collins
with a 204 had the high
average.
Blue Jays lead the league
with 3,035 pins. Jaws are
second with 2,721 and Suzie's
Buddies have 2,599. VB's are
in the cellar with 2,576.
YBC Majors
Rams have a slight lead in
the standings with 1491/2
points. Bad News Bears are
close behind with 141, while
Rough Riders are third with
137. Winners are in the
basement with 1301/2 points.
Nancy Kuehl and Wendy
Gibbings led the girls with 221
singles. Miss Kuehl had the
high triple of 621 and a high
4 average of 190. Bob Atkinson
made a complete sweep for
*. the boys with a 299 single, 790
triple and 212 average.
Tuckersmith Mixed
Rose Hummel had the high
single for ladies with 296.
Anna Aldwinkle's 622 was the
high triple. Bob Walters had a
264 single .and 709 triple for

Alley Cats continue to have
a commanding lead in the
standings with 114 points.
Rolling Stones are a distant
second with 95 while Brown
Onion's are third with 89
points. Playgirls are in the
basement with 75.
Huron-Dex
Headpins are well in front
in the standings with 112
points. Things tighten up for
the runnerup spot as Zepplins
have 88, Try-Alls, 83 and
Whiz -Bangs have 81 points.
Ramblings from the races

Dapper Dillon took a new
lifetime record of 2:01.3 when
he 'won The Kitchener
Trotting Stakes with purse
of $23,350 at Mohawk
Raceway on Sunday night.
Fractions for the mile were
29.4, 1:01.1, 1:31, and 2:01,3.
This was his ninth win of the
year from 14 starts. He has
also had three seconds and
one third.
He is owned by Doreen
• Rowcliffe of Hensall and
Barry Elliott of Kitchener,
and the speedy six-yeareold
gelding now. has earnings of
over $92,000 lifetime.
Finishing second was Dart
Camp, owned and driven by
Neil McRann of Lucan. This
six-year-old Camp Hanover
gelding has a record also of
2:01.3 and has made over
$175,000 to date.
Single Johnnie was claimed
recently from John Muir of
Seaforth. On March 25 at
Buffalo Raceway, Hamburg,
New York he was second in a
$3,500 claiming race which
went in 2:09.3.
At London on April 6,
Dennis Jewitt was fifth with
Armbro Prince for Doug Bell
of Londesboro. Dianne Camp,
owned by Ken Holmes of
Seaforth was second with Ron
Williamson on the bike.
Verdun Vanstone finished
fifth with Cathy's Hat for his
son Brad as did Joe McDaid
with Bobby Tar for his owner
Jim Riehl of Goderich.
Muddy Knight was third with
driver Ron Williamson tor
Jim McLeod of Seaforth and
C. Browning of Toronto.
Tarus was a winner in
2:06.1 at Windsor on April 7
for Frank and Gerry John-
ston of Goderich.
Shelly Duke, owned by Art
Maskell of Goderich, was
second at Windsor on
Thursday night. She raced
again on Saturday afternoon,
this time winning in 2:06.1.
Muskoka Belle was second
at Flamboro on April 7 for
owner Wayne Horner of
BrucetielJ.
Ackwin was 'on the outside
for the whole mile, but still
managed to hold on for third
with driver 'Bill Rapson of
Holmesville for his father
Gord at London on Saturday.
An added attraction was
the non -wagering Benefit
Pace featuring six horses
from the Jack Kopas Stable
with the purse of over $2,000
going to the London District
Crippled Children's Treat -
talent Centre. The race was
listed as an Exhibition
Qualifying Pace since only
one horse, the 4 yr. old
Armbro Rally p., 2:01.2 was
qualified to race this year. He
broke behind the gate and
was fifth. Super Clint p,
1:59.3, a three-year-old by
Super Wave, also broke
leaving and- was sixth. The
other 3yr. olds Nat Lobell p,
2:00.4 and Jade Prince p,
1:54.1 have been rated by the
United States Trotting
Association as the best in
North America.
Jade Prince was the winner
with fractions of 31.3, 1:02.3,
1:33.1, 2:03.1. Nat Lobell was
third.
The four -year-olds Adam
Lobell p, 1:57.3 and Trent
Lobell p, 2:02.2 were second
and fourth. •

all tied up at 2 -apiece
Port Elgin Sunocos of the
Ontario Hockey Association
Intermediate "C" (Central
Division) have tied ups their
semi-final • best -of -seven
series with Petrolia Squires,
'2-2, Petrolia won the Seaway
Intermediate League.
Port Elgin got to the semi-
" finals by defeating Clinton
Colts in league playoffs. They
went on to defeat Fergus
"Green Machine' and are
now battling the Squires.
