"It is an emotional thing. None of us
like to change, hut in many ways we are
going from a complex sy1tem to a simple
system," he said.
Mr. Brulhaker said the easiest way to
learn the metric system was to start to
use it without referring hack to the old
system.
"The hest thing for us to do would he to
throw our Fahrenheit thermometers
away,' he said.
Bev. Brown questioned the advantage
of 'switching temperature scales when
the variation of one degree Celsius was
less accurate and could he critical in a

resurveyed will he done in metric..
The 11)0 pound concentrate bags will be

"The problem, is that they are
dragging out the change. If Monday
they said we are going completely
metric, we'd struggle for a week., but
we'd soon know what it meant," Mr.
Brulhaker said.
"No we wouldn't," quipped one far-
mer. "We'd take up arms and over-
throw the government."
