Hovey are home after a most en- joyable holiday. They visited Ernie's sister in Huston, Texas ands spent some time in Florida. We were very pleased to open our front door last week and find Mu, Le Roy Poth there. She and 'her husband had just returned from the winter in Panama City Beach, Florida, where she said they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They both looked well, and we are very happy to have them home with us. Danny Snider, RR 2, Zurich bicycled up to visit Andrew Erickson on Wed. The boys enjoyed their day together. Brownies raise $89 at sale Last Wednesday afternoon the Brownies held a White Elephant Sale and a Tea Party in the Town Hall. They also had a very at- tractive table of homemade cookies and squares and were responsible for selling the articles and serving of the fancy decorated cupcakes and coffee and tea. Eighty-nine dollars was realized from a fun afternoon, half of which will go to Bunny Bundle to help crippled kids Bayfield I, 4-H The Bayfield I - 4-H• Club "Super Sewers'' 4rnet Tuesday, March 22 for their 3rd meeting. Present were 11 members, our two ..leaders and one visitor Cindy 'T'albot. We opened our meeting with , the 4-H pledge and we were then shown how and also had a chance to sew darts, plain seams, french seams, flat -fell seams and top stit- ching. United church men The Board of Stewards of St. Andrews United Church met Mon. evening and finalized plans for their Annual Bean Supper to be held on Saturday, April 2. Lions contest to end Friday The 1977 Bayfield Lions Club. United Church News The Sacrament of the Lord's supper will be ob- served in St. Andrews United Church on Good Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. On Easter Sunday morning at 6 a.m. a Sunrise Service arranged by the 3m`s group will be held on the lawn at the Manse. 'Tis of Thee (U.S.) and "Our Loved Dominion Bless" (Canadian) brought to a close a dynamic service to an overflow congregation after which many remained for coffee, cookies and chattily. Eight years ago, Panama City's famous beach was still mostly just a summer resort with -few motels open in the y inter, but an advertisement in the Toronto Globe and Mail, drew a number of Ontario residents that winter. The friendliness of the people and the low rates brought more Canadians the next year, so more motels remained open until now, about 8,000 Canadians and many from the Northern states of the U.S. spend their winters in that area, enjoying the fine white sand of the Gulf Beach. Anglicans mark Lent Sunday morning Worship service in Trinity Anglican Church with the Rector, Rev. William M. Bennett in charge. Harry Baker read the scripture reading for the, Fifth Sunday in Lent.
