The president, Mrs. Harold Parker, resided and opened the meeting. Mrs. Jack .Brintnell was in charge of the Worship Good Neighbours. The roll call was answered by nine ladies. A letter was received regarding parcels to Angola, also from Westminster and Alma Colleges and the London Conference at Sar- nia. The Offering was received and dedicated. Mrs. Thomas Brintnell gave a poem "Nature's Secret and Ho"e" to Count Your Blessings". The treasurer gave a report. Easter lilies will be pur- chased for the Church and a donation was given to the Bunny Bundle. Mrs. Alvin Cole was in charge of the Study, introducing a chapter on China. The meeting concluded with the Lord's Prayer, Mr. Len Purdy has been a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London. Rev. W.D. Jarvis con- ducted service in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday speaking on the fourth' Lenten message en- titled "Jesus Our Brother in Suffering". Mrs. Dorothy Taylor presided at the piano during the service of song. The movie "The Cross and the Switch Blade" is being shown at Brucefield Centennial school Saturday 2nd at 8 p.m. Mrs. Glenn Bell and Mrs. Bertha MacGregor were recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ulch and family at Russeldale. Mrs. Mary Funk of London was a recent visitor with Mrs. Leona Parke. Mrs. William Smale returned to her home on Saturday after receiving treatment at South . Huron Hospital, Exeter. Allan Bell is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital London where he is receiving treatment following surgery. Huron Lodge, Exeter on May I2th. The District meeting will be held at Pride of Huron Lodge, Exeter on Wednesday April 13th at 2 p.m. All lodges are asked to drape their charter in memory of Past Grand Master Brother Albert L. Brunner. Edelweiss Rebekah Lodge, Seaforth are celebrating their 65th anniversary at Seaforth Community Centre on May lith with a dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are available from the Secretary Mrs. Leona Parke. Mrs. Margaret Consitt Jr. F.N.G. was appointed Representative and Mrs. Bertha MacGregor Jr. P.N.G. was appointed Scholar to the Rebekah of Assembly of • Ontario Sessions, to be held in Toronto in June. The District Deputy President Mrs. Mary Fisher of Exeter will make her of- ficial visit to the Lodge on April 6th at 8 p.m. Mrs. Bertha MacGregor was appointed District Deputy President of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario for Huron District No. 23 for the ensuing year. Bingo Euchre was played following the meeting and refreshments served and a social hour enjoyed. 100. Amber Rebekah Lodge Personals and Carla visited recently with Mrs. Dalton's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parker. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Morenz of Dashwood were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Corbett and sons on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alf Ross have returned from several: weeks vacation in Florida. Mrs. Edith Campbell returned home after vacationing for a few weeks in Florida. Steve Corbett of Fanshawe College spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and .Mrs. Ross Corbett and brother .Jeff. Mrs. Blanche Chapman of London was a recent visitor with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corbett. Rebekah Lodge on Wed- nesday evening assisted by the Vice -Grand Mrs. Maggie Campbell. The treasurer, Mrs'. Dorothy Corbett gave the_ financial report, birthday greetings were received from Miss Maybelle Whiteman, Seaforth and cards of thanks from Mrs. Dorothy Corbett and Miss Ellis. Several members ex- pressed thanks to their "Secret Pals" for cards they received. An invitation was received from Emerald Rebekah Lodge, Parkhill to attend the "Brother's Night" being held on April 5th; also an invitation to the Past Grands Club of Pride of Queensway News Visitors at Queensway Nursing Home this past week v'ere: Mrs. Betty Smith visited Lynn Latimore and other ladies ; Marion Schenk and Jeanette Lippert visited Hugo Schenk and Harold Glanville; Verna Coates and Vera Pinkam and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Parker and Jimmy of Sebringville visited Louise Mitchell. Howard Johns, Ann and Katie Shannon, Frances Sweitzer visited Mabel Johns; Chester and Ilia Dunn visited Vera Lammie and Roy McDonald; Hazel Snell visited Vera Lammie and Louise Mitchell; Mrs. Sararus celebrated her birth- day last week and had Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sararus and Mrs. Laura Hubbert Toronto and other members of her family present. Cake and tea was served to the family. Payne The March meeting of the Hensall and District Kinettes was held at the home of Sharon Schurman with resident Marion Oen in the chair and all members present. The Exeter Kinettes arrived with the Travelling Boot a fellowship promotion among Kinette. Clubs - and joined in the meeting. New member, Mrs. Sharon Fink, was installed and welcomed into the club. During the meeting, it was reported. that the bus trip to the Ice Capades was enjoyed by all who attended. Plans are now underway for the Easter Shut-in visits and the Spring Rummage Sale. The Kinettes will be preparing the meal for the Kinsmen's Elimination Draw on April 7 and that same night will be having an informal card party. Five members will be attending the Kinette in- terclub in Wingham on April 13. Following the business portion of the meeting, Karen showed a slide presentation of her travels to Rio, Hong Kong and Tokyo and served a delicious lunch. UCW meets The March meeting of Unit 2 of the Hensall United Church Women was held on Monday evening, March 14. Mrs. Carl Payne was in the 'chair and opened the meeting with a poem, "Being Kind". Mrs. Grace Drummond led the devotional on living a rich, satisfying life. It's up to us - our gifts are from God for a rich, satisfying life in His service. Spring is a time of renewal of faith. She closed with the hymn, Faith of our Fathers. Roll call was answered by ten members showing in- teresting articles and telling about them. A letter from the Queensway Nursing home thanked the UCW for Fish and Game Club elects new 1977 officers Dave Beach was elected the new president of the Clinton Fish and Game Club for 1977 at the club's meeting Monday night. Bob Johnston was elected first vice-president and Bill Murray, second vice president. Other executive officers elected were Kay Falconer, secretary, and Don Jefferson, treasurer. The following members were also elected to the various committees: Bob Johnston,. entertainment; Helen Tench, Tuesday night bingo; Ted Wales, wild life; Tom Shanahan, grounds; Don Gautereau, ways and means ; Jim Boughen, rose of the. house; Slim Lacroix, bar chairman and parades; Stan Falconer, bulletin; Helen Beach, membership; Fred Shropshall, Fish and Game farm and shoots; Bert Gliddon and Don Jefferson, juniors; Bill Murray, property chairman; Harold Glew, executive at large.
