The ACW will meet at Mrs. Vera Miller's home Thur- sday, March the 10th at 8 p.m. Pine Lake changes Pine Lake Camping grounds is getting a real face lift, with their new owners Don and Brenda Clark of Chatham, Ontario and Jim Rankin of Ailsa Craig as the Camp Manager. They will have year round recreation, with their new recreation centre containing a snack bar,- amusements, bongos, dances, talent nights; movies, wet weather chapel, sing -a -long, crafts. They are r to build an Island Chalet with year round indoor - outdoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, billiards, air hockey, ping pong, shuffle board, sandwich bar, relaxation area, putting, video games. The general store will contain the Manager's living quarters, fresh meat and vegetables, home baking, frozen and ',,canned foods, camper's conveniences, and ac- cessories, dairy products and assorted sundries. • 46 • At Pine Lake they have 8Q acres, where campers will share ' this campground nestled„ in a pine and hard- wood trees, beside two man made lakes with sandy beaches. "For year round en- joyment, Pine Lake is second to none. Acquiring your own lot gives you a vacation place to call your own, to visit whenever you wish, and know that it is well cared for the year round. Pine Lake, an obvious choice for active people who wish to thoroughly enjoy theirleisure hours in a wholesome family environment", says the new owners. Mr.. Rankin says all help will .be local people who are working there now. The'Arc Industries of Dashwood have an an order from Mr. Rankin now for 500 signs to be made out of rustic slabs of wood. The streets through the camp are named after trees, Maple, Pine etc. Everywhere you look it's the rustic look. Also on display are trailers one can purchase completely furnished to put on a site. They will, hold a church service each Sunday, with two Ministers already having campsites and area ministers being invited in on different Sundays to preach. A very nice campground indeed. Those folks from this area who are in Florida, say it's nice and warm, up in the 80's, and they are staying , extra days to enjoy it. (News -Record photo) Four alarms prove false Contrary to the last four fire alarms that you haye, heard in the last week or two, the town of Clinton is not burning to the ground. Clinton Fire Chief Clarence Neilans said all the alarms have been false, but no cause 1 has been determined as to what set them off. Meanwhile, Bell Canada crews rearranging cables under the town's main streets for the last two week, may be working underground for another week or two.
