Keystone Hartree, a six-
year-old gelding by Harlan
Dean -Hickory Tree, extended
his winning streak to six in a
row when he won the seventh
race at Flamboro on
February 12 for Wayne
Horner of Brucefield.
✓ Wayne's King's Greentree
pacer was also a winner in
2:09.1 on Friday night.
Highland Wish had a second
place finish the same night.
Dapper Dillon, a six-year-
old gelding by Dapper Hill -
Ann Key, owned by the estate
of Mary A. Elliott of Chilton,
• was second on Friday night at
Greenwood in Toronto in the
$9,000 trot. He was beaten by
a 'nose by Kendee Rip, a
seven-year-old gelding by
Replica Herbert-Jilda
Herbert by Alpha Hal.
Dapper Dillon- started the
year with a third place finish
and then had four straight
-wins.
At Flamboro on February
8, °'Hickory Lassie, a 12 -year -
4 old trotting mare by Queen's
Adios-Hodgen's Lassie,
owned by Frank Cook of
Clinton, finished second with
driver Max Jorgenson. Last
year she had earnings over
the $6,200 mark and she has
won lifetime ,over $42,000.
Wednesday night at the
same track, Single Johnnie,
an eight-year-old gelding by
Johnnie G -Rosy Dolly, owned
and driven by John Muir of
Seaforth, was second. Ron
Williamson of Seaforth also
had a second with Swinging
Beauty.

Afternoon
The Pressure Cookers have
sizzled into second place in
the Ladies' Tuesday After-
noon league with 105 points.
The Hot Pans with 108 con-
tinue to lead the league. The
Sinkers with 103 lead the
Blenders with 100, the Salad
Queens with 971/2 and the
Micro Waves with 86'/2.
Rosemary Armstrong had
the -high triple of 698 and the
high average of 2Q5 with the
high single going to Edna
Atkinson with 294.
Clinton -Blyth
Ladies
in Toronto, Bubbling Over, a
seven-year-old mare by
Langley Hanover -Bubbling
Oasis, was second for driver
Tom Strauss and, owner Bill
Fleming of Clinton. She has a
record of p, 2:03.3 and
lifetime earnings over the
$22,000 mark.
Friday night at London,
Bobbie Tar, owned by Jim
Riehl of Goderich finished
third with Joe McDaid on the
bike.
John Lester was third with
March Will, which he co-owns
with Ken Parke of Zurich, on
Saturday at Greenwood.
The same night at Windsor,
Bruce Volland had a third
place finish with Shockem.

At London on Saturday
afternoon, Watcher's Pride,
owned by David Shamblaw of
Kirkton, was second for
driver Frank MacDonald of
Clinton. This gives her a win
and two seconds from three
starts this year.
Monday night at London,
Tide Delight, a five-year-old
mare by Josies Victory -
Queenie Tide, and owned by
Donald Campbell of
Goderich, finished third for
driver Randy McLean. Last
year she had a win and two
thirds from seven starts.
Bobbie Tar was second for
driver Joe McDaid.
Will Knight, a four-year-old
pacer by Excel Knight -Fan
Will, owned by John Lester, of
Forest . and Ken Parke of
Zurich, won the seventh race
at Greenwood on Monday
night in a sizzling 2:04.3.

Wingham midget tourney big
•
Organizers at Wingham say --
their fourteenth annual
Wingham Midget Hockey
Tournament will be bigger
and better than ever this
year. That claim was
guaranteed when the com-
mittee in charge decided to
increase the number of teams
to 56 from the 32 teams who
participated last year.
The increase has
necessitated the use of three
arenas instead of the one in
previous years.
Instead of all games being
played at the Wingham
arena,' the Howick• Com-
munity Centre and the
Lucknow arena will also be
pressed into service. There
will be 16 games in all at
Howick with games on March
18 from 5:-00 p.m. until 11:00
p.m., March 20 from 1:00
p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and March
24 'from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00
p.m.
Thirteen games have been
booked for ,the Lucknow
arena. March 18 the games
will start at 5:00 p.m. running
through 11:00. p.m. On
Saturday' March 19 the
competition begins at 9:00
a.m. and runs till 11:06 p.m.
There will be three games on
Sunday, at 1:00 p.m., 5:00
p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The only open day at the
•Wingham facilities will be
l)2arch 24. There are three
Karnes set for Marsh 18, six
for. March 1.9, five on March
20 and full days on March ,21
'and 22..
The Striking Demons battle •
the Windmills for second spot
in the Clinton -Blyth league
with 25 points each. The
Bionic Wonders with 29 lend
the standings with the Boni11'&'
Braves tied with the Odd Ball
Bunch in third place with 22.
The Ups and Downs trail with
18.
Linda Cooper had the high ,
average of 209 with Lia
Hoggarth taking the high
triple of 664. Marg Kruper
with 271 had the high single,
with other high scores going
On March 23 there will be
five games, March 25 and 26
will be full days while Sun-
day, March 27 will see the
championship games.
Owen Sound won the 'AAA'
group title last year by
beating London 6-3. To date
seven teams have entered the
division, this year. There are
16 teams entered in the 'A'
group including Collingwood,
the defending champions.
The Listowel Cyclones are
the defending champions ,in
"B" division and they will be
back to compete against 14
other 'B' division entries.
Host-Wingham Lions took
the 'C' title last year and will
be back to defend their'title
against 15 other entries.

team standings with 77
points, followed by the X's
and O's with 69, and the Who
