The Ontario Ministry of
Agriculture and Food is
sponsoring 4-11 Homemaking
Clubs for Spring in 'Huron
County.
The Huron County 4-H
Homemaking Club for this
spring is "Clothes for
Leisure". The project in-
cludes the selection of styles
and fabrics for leisure wear,
the use of commercial pat-
terns and the application of
trims such as ;lace, , eyelet,
fringe. Each member makes
a garment suitable for leisure
wear at home, i.e. caftan,
nightie, housecoat, pyjamas.

will be conducting the

Wednesday, February 1st &

been approved for five
projects in Huron County
from the "`proceeds of the
Ontario Lottery. The amounts
range from $1,305 to $666.
The Seaforth Minor Hockey
Association received hockey
equipment direct from the
Wintario Projects office for

$1,305.
The ..Clinton Industrial
Hockey. League received,
hockey equipment direct

office for an approximate
value of $863 and the sum of
$250 to assist in the purchase

Society convention
The Canadian Cancer
Society Campaign Con-
ference (1977) held at the
Royal York Hotel, Toronto,
on January 22 and 23, 1977,
was represented by the
Clinton 'Brancket of the
Canadian Cancer Society.
Ross McDaniel, Campaign
Chairman, Huron County
Unit attended, as well as
Harold Knisley, president of
the Goderich Branch of the
Cancer Society; Les Pitblade,
campaign chairman of the
Goderich &ranch; J,Lti ,.
Remington, Campaign vice-
chairman of the Huran
County Unit. and Howard
Aitken, publicity chairman of
the Huron County Unit,
Over 700 delegates attended
this year's annual Con-
ference,' which prepares
representatives of the Cancer
Society from all over Ontario,
to organize the '77 campaign,
which this . year has as its
goal, 7'/2 million. This is the
amount the Society has set to
fund Cancer research,
education, service to patients
and to maintain the Society in
1977.
