Council views mail plans
Bayfield Council met in
regular session :Monday
evening and viewed plans of a
proposed mini -shopping mall,
submitted by Ray Bell.
The plans showed a per-
manent L.C.B.O. • outlet, a
meat market and another
store area not as yet leased
out. Mr. Be11 has asked
council to purchase a small
area of the road allowance
adjacent to his property in
order for him to have the
required area on which to
build.
A public hear1ng regarding
this will be held on Friday,
Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. in the
° Municipal Building to hear
anyone who would be
prejudicially affected by the
closing of the piece of road
known as Hill Terrace.
It was learned that all road
signs will have to be con-
verted .to metric by' Sep-
tember 1977; that the road
subsidy for construction and
maintenance had been
granted; and councillors
viewed plans for the sewage
pump -out station to be con-
structed by Small Crafts and
Harbours at the Bayfield
Marina on the south side of
the Bayfield River. They also
discussed the Ducharme
subdivision. '
Council approved a grant of
_ $25 to the St. Johns
Ambulance and approved
payment of the A.M.O.
membership of $50.
In other business, council
decided to raise the price of
dog tags` and to appeal to all
the dogs running loose tp
choose new masters. After
.111, if the dogs had new
masters that cared 'enough
about them to keep there
confined and not allow them
to break the `by-law, then we
would have some, good
masters with pretty smart
dogs.
Come on dogs!!! What do
you say??? Arf - arf! My
sentiments exactly.!!!
