the Lions Club many year's +,
ago, when on ` Saturdayaf- " . I.
ternoon they treated the
children of the Village and
area to movies in the Com-
munity Centre and just as the
movies ended, Jolly old St.
Nick arrived on a sleigh
pulled by two beautiful
Belgian horses. The team
were owned by Tom Penhale.
Santa went inside the Centre
and distributed bags of candy
and popcorn balls to all the
children who numbered about
75.
When Santa departed, Mr.
Penhale treated all those
present to a sleigh ride
around the Village. It was like
an old fashioned Christmas to
hear the jingle of the bells on
the horses and sleigh. Many
thanks to the Lioness Club for
their thoughtfulness and
letting us share in the fun.
