on Friday December 17th 1976
in his 67th year.
Surviving is his wife, the

brother Preston, predeceased
him in March 6th, 1975.
Twelve grandchildren and
one great-grandson also

Polio and Tuberlosis Com-
mittee of the 1.0.0.F. and
Amber Rebekah - Lodges
distributed plants to "shut-
ins" on Sunday Dec. 19th.
The W.M.S. and Ladies' Aid
of Carmel Presbyterian
Church packed boxes of
treats for "shut-ins mem-
bers" on Tuesday. December
14th, which were distributed
to the various homes.
Hensall senior citizens
The Hensall Senior Citizens
met on Tuesday evening Dec.
14th for their Christmas party
with 48 in attendance. The
club room were gaily
decorated in keeping with the
Christmas`season.
President Percy Campbell
presided for a short session of
business, and warmly
welcomed all who were
present. It was decided to
discontinue having Open
House Tuesday and Friday
afternoons until after the New
Year. A committee of three,
Pearl Taylor, Rosa Harris
and Percy Campbell were
appointed to investigate the
purchasing of a Carpet Bali
Set and other items for en-
tertainment and crafts.
Mrs. Mickle and Mrs.
Alexander volunteered to act
on the open house committee
in place of Mrs. Bell. who
finds it difficult to get out in
the winter months. There will
be a meeting of the executive
early in the New Year. 'the
secretary read a letter from
the New Horizon Program
from Mac Lalonde.

weatherman turned on his

club rooms in Hensall the
Kinettes assisted the Kin-
smen in serving a delicious
Christmas lunch. Percy
Campbell extended thanks to
all. - -
The lunch committee,
Ernie and Olga Chipchase
and Gladys Coleman along
with the entertainment
treated the members to a
delicious Hot Turkey
_Christmas lunck, which all
enjoyed. A hearty vote of
thanks with much applause
was extended to the com-
mittee in charge of the very
enjoyable evening in keeping
with the happy Yuletide
season.
Church notes
Rev. W.D.. Jarvis con-
ducted the service at Carmel
Presbyterian Church on
Sunday, the address being
"Ifs the Gift that Counts."
The Sunday School and choir
under the direction of Mrs.
Malcom Dougall and
Teachers of the Sabbath
School presented Christmas
Pageant "The Old Old
Story". The congregation
took part in the Carol singing.
The Annual Carol service
was held at Cromarty
Presbyterian Church,
followed by a Fellowship hour
sponsored by the Couple's
Club. The service next
Sunday will be a service of
Carols and Scriptures with a
thought for this Holy Season.

decided to hold the euchre
parties again in the Legion
Hail in the New Year. The
centre group will be in charge
of the first euchre in January.

Women% Institute in Kippen.

an exchange of pen pals. if
your institute is interested.
Mrs. James Drummond
read a poem, "Pritetess
Gift" followed by several
short stories. The president,
Mrs. Hoggarth gave the
president's message,
"'What's in a gift"? Many
Christmas carols were sung
with Mrs. Ross Broadfoot
accompanist and Santa Claus
distributed the "Secret Pals"
gifts.
Courtesy remarks were

lunch was served by the

charge, Mrs. Stewart Papper
and Mrs. Wm. McDowell.
