Christmas to me is having
fun, giving and wrapping
presents and putting up
things before Christmas.
• Decorating and putting the
tree up tells me that
Christmas is almost here.
Then oh Christmas we open
the presents and 1 canTierdly
wait I can see what I -got.
Then.' -like,to.mtCh everyone
open the presents 1 got for
them. and see if they like
them. Then we go to my
aunt's place and eat, and eat
and eat.
• You should also remember
what Christmas is really all
about, that is the birth of
Christ. Thats what Christmas
is all about.
• -by Steve Paterson
To me Christmas means
giving clothes to the poor and
giving and receiving
presents. It is always exciting
shopping for presents for
other people and then hoping
to keep them hiddeafroranny
snoopers. Christmas has so
many things which are
brightly coloured such as
bulbs, on houses and green
decorated . Christmas trees
with silver tinsel. I always
have fun listening to my
brother when he gifts excited
about Christmas and seeing
Santa uptown. Christi, usually means to -me also the
birth of Christ which is im-
portant and well-known to a
lot of people. On Christmas
Eve we have a pageant at our
church and that is when we
celebrate th6 birthday...ye
always sing carols and have a
play with Mary, SOseph, the
Wisemen. shepherds and a
doll which is Jesus in it. On
Boxing Day we go to the .bone
of my Aunt and Uncle's and
all. my mother's brothers and
sisters in laws and parents
meet at someone's house and
we exchange presents. 1 like
very much going
snow m obi Ling and then
having the delicious meal.
- by Ann Deichert.-
When I h4ar the word
Christmas. 1 automatically
think of the birth of Jesus,
decorating -the tree, buying
lots of presents for people,
opening presents, and eating
Christmas dinner. Of all the
special events through the
year. I like Christmas the
best. I like. buying presents
for people and hoping that
they will like them. The only
thing 1 wish I had more of. is
money to buy people more
expensive presents.
Christmas morning, I like
to sneak down and see what
Santa put in my stocking. You
get all kinds of neat things in
it. I like to see the presents
that I gave being opened and
seeing if the family liked
what I chose. Usually I'm too
excited to eat breakfast
because our family will be
going to our cousins' house. I
like to look nice when 1 go
there. Sometimes 1 get so
excited tivat Use -1M -find--
Lanything to, -,Wear, bat -in- the
end 1 always find: something
nice to wear. After breakfast
our house is really busy
trying toget ready to go.
1 really enjoy seeing all my
relatives at Christmas. Most
af therrbtive in Toronto. so we
don't see them very much,
but on Christmas we usually
see everyone. 1 love the
Christmas, especially the?
turkey.
Christmas is the time of
year you put on so much
weight because there are so
many goodies -to eat. The only
thing I don't like about
Christmas is that it's over too
soon.
