last Friday afternoon about
one o'clock.
The interdenominational
Over Fifty Club, which
usually meets for games each
Friday at two, were having
their,Christmas pot -luck -
lunch. It would be difficult to
find a merrier yup.
Perhaps those who seemed to
enjoy it the most were a
number of former members
' who now reside at Huron-
View. They all agreed that it
just made Christmas for
them to be back with old
friends.
Just about the time when no
one could eat any more from
the bountiful spread, Santa
appeared with hugs and
kisses and a small gift for
each one. The rest of the
afternoon was spent in the
usual games fashion.

The HHuronic Rebekah
Lodge held : its regular
meeting Monday, December
6 with Sister Jean Henderson
presiding over a good at-
tendance. Plans _ .were
finalized for a banquet to be
held in the �ge Hail in
January for an Agricultural
group.
A joint Christmas party
was held with the Oddfellows,
carols were sung and
everyone enjoyed them-
selves. Lunch was served by
the •December group. The
next regular meeting will be
,held January3,19n-
Also theRebeks and
Oddfellows held a successful
card party December 9 in the
Lodge Hall. Prizes were won
as follows: ladies' high Mrs.
Cliff Ashton; ladies' low Mrs.
Ryan; men's high, Mr. Ernie
Brown; men's low, Mr. Cliff
Ashton; lone hands, Mrs.
Percy Gibbings. Draw prizes
went to Mr. Cliff Ashton and
Mr. Bob Taylor.

harp and strings that it left
the audience breathless!
