Since there appears to be an increasing need, the Hospital Auxiliary is plan- ning a library cart. This will be taken around to_. patient rooms at least once a week, on a day that will not conflict with the popular Gift Cart. The librate cart will be left in anaccessible place so that walking patients may change their books and magazines at any time. Mrs. K. Wood, who is in charge of stocking the gift cart, displayed some inr teresting and attractive new gift items that are for sale on the cart. She also asked for volun- teers to make knitted -slippers —" they are a very popular item, as at present there are none in stock. The next meeting of the Hospital Auxiliary will be in the Board Room on Monday, January 3 at 2 p.m. Start the New Year right by coming to the meeting (which is the annual 'meeting) and sup- porting your hospital! doe style cooking! A group of Kinettes put up a Christmas tree and decorations in the second floor sunroom; a group from the Eastern. Star decorated the main floor sun -room and put up a tree, while members of ibe Hospital Auxiliary trimmed a Christmas tree at the front entrance, and decorated the waiting room, the cafeteria, and the Board Roots. After the work was finished, the volunteers gathered in the Board Room where Hospital Auxiliary members under social con- vener, Mrs. A. Johnston, served coffee and cookies. It was a delightful (and de1jcogs) sending to an af- ternoon viol work and fellowship. Prior to decorating, a regular meeting of the Hospital Auxiliary was held, . with the president, Mrs. Ted Davies, in the chair. Foltowing the opening prayer, minutes the treasurer, Mrs. Douglas Ball, reported that the final_ net profit from this year's Penny Sale was 51,934.94 — a record breaking total! Clintonians who are willing to donate recent magazines to the hospital are asked to leave them in the first floor waiting room. The magazines convener, Mrs. Earl Hilderley, will see that they are distributed among the various waiting rooms and to patients. Since these items become obsolete very quickly, there is a constant need, and regular donations would be very much ap- preciated. The Kinettes have generously donated two Brownies have test day On Wednesday, November 24th, the Brownies had their test day. Test day is a time when Mrs. Corrie, our former Brown Owl, test people who have interest in badges. Last week, 14 people had things to be tested. Many of the girls wanted to get their craft badge. Badges were also presented for rip- peteers, dancers, collectors, artists, gardeners, and housekeepers. Twelve girls received badges and two others hope to have Theirs ready t3ii a Ne w Year. --by Gwen Holland, PAUL NEW FAL() BILL and the INDIANZ r SIT7INO I3TILL'S HISTORY LASS " SAT.
