about a man trying to make a
speech on his wedding day.
Euchre was enjoyed after

Rev. and Mrs. Reddoch
received a letter stating that
Mr Rarold Prim had passed
away last spring. Mrs. Prim,
who lives in Detroit, will be
remembered by many
Bayfield residents as Holly
Louise Suppnick whose
family used to own-
Lodge for many" year

Prim In her loss.
ACW meets
The Anglican s Church
Women of `Trinity Anglican
Church held St. Andrews Day
Corporate Communion at the
Parish Hall, Tuesday at 11
a.m. This was followed by a
pot -luck dinner. The ladies of
Trinity Guild were invited
(28 ladies attended.)
Following the dinner Mrs.
Clark, the Deanery
Representative _from St.
George's - Church., Ooderich
gave a talk on her work which
extends as far as South
Saugeen.
Mrs. Alma Bassett of
Goderich, a former member
of this Church -also spoke.
This was followed by the
ACW regular monthly
meeting.
United Church Notes
.. St. Andrews United Church
held their regular services
Sunday and would like their
members and friends to
remember the White Gift
Service next Sunday.
December l2th, which will be
followed by a pot luck lunch.
The annual. Sunday School
concert is to be held the same
afternoon and all the children
of the area are Invited.
The lovely "candle light"
service will be held Sunday
December 19th..
Fifty Senior. Citizens sat
down to a beautiful .turkey
dinner Saturday night at St.
Andrews United Church. The
tables were tastefully
decorated in a Christmas
theme, Mrs. Milvena
Erickson donated favours for
each—Member present which
were much appreciated.

with readings by Mrs. Carter.

Mrs. Reddoch told a
delightful story of a church
built 460 years ago which had
no means of lighting except
the lanterns each family
`brought to light their corner
of the . Church. The custom
has been passedon from
generation to generation.
Christmas customs in other
Iands were then illustrated.
A play with Donna
'Westlake as ' reader was
given. It was called "What
does it mean?" Jean Lindsay,
Elva Metcalfe, Rosemarie
Tainan and her girls, Lisa
and Lieghanne, Carol Fisher,
and Maryanne 'Yates each
had a part in illustrating
different smeanings of
Christmas
A few entertaining num-

December meeting.
CaroI. Fisher then gave a
demonstration on the making
of Christmas decorations,
and she hada lovely display
of ones she had made.
Draws were made for
various gifts and several
games were enjoyed. A
lovely dessert lunch was
served to complete a
delightful evening.
