support of the 'dry look.'
Over 40 swimmers par-
ticipated in the event that will
make possible the installation
of hairdryers in the men's
and ladles' change rooms,

Diane Durnin. the centre's
recreation director, swam
with 33 pledge sponsors to
raise the largest sum ' of
$159.50.
Susan Lehen, the youngest
swimmer to participate in the
swimathon swam six lengths.
while sister. Christa Lehnen
swam 100 length in the Mine
and under age group. Rene
Lenhen toppedsthe 10 to 11 -
year -olds with 130 lengths;
Mary Jane Scott, the 12 to 14 -
year -olds, with 312; Cindy
Connolly. the 15 to 30 -year-
olds with 222 lengths.
Beth Ellen Gould swam the
greatest distance for those
over 31 with 216 lengths.

financial success - financially
improved over last spring's
event and predicted a further
increase for next spring's
