Grade 8speaker
On Thursday, November 4,
the grade d class had a
speaker named. Mr. Perdue,

The class discussed fox skins
which Mr. Perdue brought
ithhim.
This demonstration was
used as . an introduction to a
novel they will be reading.
Pictures
On Monday, November 8
pictures for the students of
Hultett were taken in the
auditoriutn. Beforehand
parents were given the op-
portunity to decide whether
they . wanted individual or
class pictures taken.
Remembrance Day assembly
On Wednesday, November
10, the grade 8 class at.Hullett
presented a Remembrance
Day assembly. The assembly
began with:. 0 Canada. The
P rot ; 's hen tbld the story
of Remembrance Day and
then the whole class recited
John Macrae's "In Flanders",!
Fields". After this, the class
sang two songs "Where Have
all the Flowers Gone" and
"Let there be Peace on
Earth';. The assembly closed
with God save the Queen.
Updates on UNICEF
Last week we reported that
the, school's UNICEF cam-
paign had raised $260. Lately
the staff has Iearned that the
actual profit was $289.20. We
apologize for this error and
hope that no such mistake
will be made in the future.

Anniversary with a family
dinner at the Stone Crock in
St. Jacobs.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Elliott
and Erin of Toronto were
weekend visitors with Mrs.
Florence Elliott and Walter
and: Norman Smith.
Jim and Mar113 n Laing and
baby of Mississauga visited
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Bruce Keys on the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Keys of
Sarnia spent the weekend
with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. ArnoldKeys.
The rnen who were regular
customers at Ida McClin-
ckey's,. coffee counter held a
reception at the White Car-
natkin to honour her and her
husband Ed Bodkin on Friday
evening. There was an over-
flow crowd of friends and
relatives. Don Taylor read
the address and they were
presented with a lovely coffee
pot and a purse of money.
• A "Family Sunday" was
observed at Goshen Church,
with special music by
members of the choir, in-
cluding numbers by the very
talented children.
A potluck dinner followed
the church service in the
newly decorated basement.
They have been enjoying the
use of new kitchen and
washroom facilities, of which
they can rightly be proud.
Mrs. Bessie Falconer who
recently moved to Clinton has
•spent the past three weeks
with her daughter Mrs. Jim
Keys after being in hospital
for six weeks. Her sister Mrs.
Jean Stoneman of Sombra
visited with them for a few
days last week.
