CLARE VINCENT' CLERK TOWNSHIP OF HULLETT Local obituaries • C. FRANK ARCHER C. "Frank Archer, 561 Avenue Road, Toronto, died suddenly at Toronto General' _Hospital Friday, November 6. He was 66 years old. He was born November 24, 1909 in Hamilton, Ontario to Charles and Ethel (Lane) Archer. He was a resident of Souther -n Ontario working as a mining engineer and was married in Hamilton June 11, 1930 to Grace MacKenzie. After his marriage be lived n the led Lake district of Northern Ontario where he was involved with mining.and in 1964 moved to Toronto where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in the Elliott Lake District. He is survived by his wife, one daughter Mfrs.- -Thomas (Marianne) Arkeil of London, England and two grand- children Joanne and Kenneth. Funeral service was at the McCalIum Funeral Home, Monday, November 8 with the Rev. William Bennett of- ficiating. Interment was in Hayfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were old sager,, Clare Sager d `T©rn Sager of RR 4 Ga risk Pte Lebeau and me Phil Turner of Bayfield, and Tony Vandongen of RR 3 Clinton. Arthur (Art'* eld Bates Arthur (Art) Reid Bates of Townsend Street,Clinton died Wednesday November 3, 1976 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 59. He was the son of Joseph and Hazel Bates, and was born October 19, 1917 in Calumet, Quebec. Mr. Bates was in the Air Force five years and then became an employee of Ontario Hydro. \e was married to Frances E. Earn in Winnipeg in 1944: - The couple moved to " Clinton from Shawvill. Quec in 1951. SurviebVirg Mr. Bates besides his wife are wo i daughters, • Jo Ann G11, London and Laurie Moodie (Mrs. G. Moodie), Stratford. He is also survived by one grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. Muriel Alien, ,Stratford and Mrs. Fred troo (Mary) Gitenvilie, Quebec.
