666. Wes tenting bowled the

In The Tuesday Afternoon
Ladies league, the Sinkers
are still on top with 40 points,
while the Hot Pans and the
Pressure Cookers are tied
with 37 points. The Salad
Queens have 33; the Blen-
ders, 32 and the Micro Waves,
31.
Rosemary Armstrong had

triple of 784 and the high
average of 226.
In the Londesboro Ladies
league, the Ailey Cats have 35
*points, putting them in first

not far behind with 32 points.

programs for men and
women. The most popular
program has been the Health
Spa which includes a work-
out in the fitness room, a
relaxing sauna and warm
swim. Also included at the
Vanastra Centre is a snack
bar, an excellent day care
centre, bingo and dances in
the recreation hall.
The Vanastra Centre has
expanded recreational swim

Blyth publisher reeeives award
Keith Roulston of Blyth was
the first recipient of an award
donated by the Huron
Agriculture for outstanding
contributions to agriculture
in the area.
The presentation was made
at the Federation's annual
dinner and meeting on

Full house at Provincial Court
It was a full house on
Wednesday at Clinton
Provincial Court, with
Provincial Court Judge Glenn
Hays presiding. Proceedings
continued from 10 a.m. until 4
p.m. with a one hour break
for lunch.
Patricia Harnett, 28 of
Vanastra was found guilty of
possessing stolen property.
Judge Hays gave her a
suspended sentence of two
years and put her on
probation for .the same
amount of time.
Judge Hays warned Mrs.
Harnett that if. she got into
any more trouble witch the law
she would be brought back to
court and coiriPted on this
charge, which could,mean a
jail term.
Thomas O'Neill of "Goderich
was convicted of an impaired
driving charge and • was
sentenced to 90 days of jail to
be served on the weekends.
Mr. O'Neill received such a
sentence because it was a
second offens.e. He also lost
his drivers license for two
years and six months because
it was already under
suspension when he was
charged with impaired
driving.,
William Buchanan, 19 of
Vanastra was found guilty of
making false statements on
unemployment insurance
forms. He made false
statements five times.
Mr. Buchanan wrote to the
unemployment commission,
before he was charged,
telling them what he had
done., He said he had a
religious experience and felt
ashamed. Mr. Buchanan also
repaid the .$672 he had
claimed, to the unem-
ployment insurance com-
mission.
Judge Hays fined Mr.
Buchanan 8500, $100 on each
count or 50 days in jail.
Donald R. Hamilton of
Stratford was found guilty of
speeding and was fined $203
or 20 days in jail. He was
charged doing 90 miles in a 50
mile an hour zone.
James Lockwood of Clinton
was fined 6300 or 30 days and
had his license suspended for
three months after he was
found guilty of impaired
driving.
James Carter of Lon-
desboro was fined 6250 and
had his license suspended for
a further six months after he
pleaded guilty to driving
while his license was already
suspended.
John Goldsworthy was
fined $103 for careless
driving.
Clair R. McClure of
Seaforth was fined $54 for
having liquor readily
available as was Maynard
Hyrners, Clinton; John
Klasen, Moorefield and John
A. Bakker; RR 4 Seaforth.
