At the west end of Nelson -street, there is
a crossing, which, if not very soon repaired,
will be the cause of a serious accident to
some animal. Right in the centre of the
roadway is a large excavation, into which
a horse, being driven without extra precau-
tion, would step, with serious results. We
respectfully draw the commissioner's atten-
tion to this trap, and ask that it be repaired
before the council is called upon to settle a
-claim for damages, set up by some one who
anay have a horse injured.
