Well, it'sa, time for . the
Chronicle to go back into
print! The little events that
make the school run will be
noted here. Here -we go.
The nut shell has completed
its Count the Ads contest:
Students had to pick the
number that was closest to or.
exactly the number of ads
displayed on the nut shell
window. Judy Dalrymple of'
28 guessed the number to be
exactly 939 and won a track
suit.
David Leibold of 1E won
second prize and took home a
CHSS sweat shirt and Ken
Popp of 2F won a CRSS
Redmnen T-shirt. Their visual
dexterity has gained them
prizes.
- A number of clubs have
started, including the French
Club, Debating Club,
Yearbook Club and Horne
Economics Club. These clubs
need more members and the
more clubs you join, the more
points you gain for your house
tribe.
The Chronicle is posted at
the school- on the bulletin
board at the office, and the
bulletin board outside Room
213. Read the Chronicle each
Week for school happenings.
Anything of interest that
can be put in the Chronicle
should be brought to Room
208 or the editor. Lorry York.
Who knows? Your ideas may
be put irt•print!

For the last few years the
studen. s. council has helped
send the cheerleaders to a
summer training camp. This
year. the girls went to
Carleton University in
Ottawa for the camp. Your
idea of a cheerleading camp
is probably that these girls
are on a holiday.
This is- where you are
wrong. These girls must take
a week off from their summer
jobsto go to this camp. They
worked at cheers, jumps,
gymnastics etc. from 8 a.m.
to8p.m.
By this time they were so
tired they just fell into bed.
In the final competition at
the end of the camp. the girls
were chosen as one of the top
six squads in all of Ontario.
Many of the students feel that
all of this money is a waste..I
can assure you that it is not:
For those people who have
this attitude, you will be
surprised to hear that the

The cheer.a-thon is being
held at CHSS and it is open to

donated to the students'
council to help support school

Get your diplomas
Commencement has been
over for a couple weeks, yet
the main office still has 43
diplomas left.
It seems amazing that the
graduates would not have
sufficient interest to pick up
their secondary school
diplomas.
So we must make an appeal
to the parents, relatives or
friends of these people to
come to CHSS's drain office to
pick up these diplomas. Show
some interest and pride in
accomplishment!
