May Dodds of Stratford, vice
president, reported two more
compressor (breathing)
pumps are to be purchased
for use in the two counties.
The pumps are used on
referral from a doctor,
usually adult emphysema
patients.
Asthina week will be ob-
served in Ontario from
Oetober 3-9.
Mrs. Dodds said the special
camp for children with asth-
ma held from June 27 to July
3 at Camp Bimini at RR 2, St.
Paul ,. was an unqualified
success. There were 37
children from five counties,
Perth, Huron, Oxford,
Waterloo and Brant, aged 8-14
years. The special camp was
the first of its kind in Ontario:
Mrs. Beryl Dunsmore,
Executive Secretary of `the
AsSociation., reported that
almost none of the children
had ever been at camp before
and their parents wrote ex-
cellent comments on the
psychological and physical
improvement inthe children.
A pulmonary care "76", a
two-day seminar for nurses,
will be held in London
November 19 and, 20. Mrs.
Edith Fisher said registration
is 325 for two days or S15 for
one day at the seminar.
Ivan Forsyth, of Egmon-
dville, said volunteers are
now busy stuffing envelopes
in preparation for the ,1976
Christmas Seal Program.
The meeting was attended
by 1# members from Perth
and Huron Counties.
