The roll call was answered by 18 members. Mrs. E. Stoll opened the meeting.. Mrs. E. R. Vice read a poem. In the absence of the pianist, Mrs. Ross Scott, a hymn was repeated in unison. The scripture was read by Mrs. Stoll, followed by prayer. Mrs. Sillery, read a poem and the offering was received by Mrs. Stoll and dedicated by Mrs. Sillery. Mrs. Stoll took as he r topic, "harvest tune" and closed with prayer. The president, Mrs. Hen- derson chaired the business portion and read a poem. Thank .you's were read by Mrs. M. Brosdfoot from Rev. D.E. Stuart and the Layton family. The secretary and treasurer's report were given. A fashion show will be held on September I4 and all ladies are invited. Lunch and service will be held on- September 21. Come and have a good meal and enjoy a social evening. PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs, Ross Scott left last week on a vacation in Vancouver with their daughter Mrs. L. Rushcall and family. Pepper spent the holiday weekend with their son Bert and.famiiy in Ieustadt. Mrs. Joan Allan and neigh- bours were hostesses at Brucefield United Churh for a community shower -Monday night to honour Miss Gwen Hill whose wedding takes place this week. Gwen . received many lovely gifts after a social hour was spent. Lunch was served by the hostesses.
