Mrs. John Daer in charge. There was, a good attendance. Mrs. Daer opened the meeting and welcomed the members and guests. Scripture lesson was given by Mrs. Andrew Kirkconnell followed by prayers by Mrs. Robert Slater. A reading entitled "It takes Discipline" was read by Mrs. Elmer Trommer. The Rev. Fred Carson gave a summary of his recent trip to England, describing the churches and cathedrals he had visited. A reading en- titled, I Dare You was given by Mrs. Thomas Haggitt. The business section of the meeting was conducted by the president Mrs. Robert Slater. Mrs. John Daer read the minutes of the July meeting which were accepted as read. (News ecord phototo Trailer camps discussed Goderich ts wnship council entertained three delegations at their last meeting discussing the establishment of trailer camps in the township and one concerned about zoning land in the township to accommodate a mobile home park. The owners of the Five Seasons Mobile Park met with council with the desire to have their property zoned for mobile homes without it having the broad implieations of an urban area. Council recorded no motions on thele meeting but rt:4com mended to the owners present that they present a brief stating their concerns to county planner Gary Davidson. A Mr. Knowles met with council to discuss the. possibility of establishing a trailer camp on part lot eight of the Huron Road Con- cession. Council seemed to reject the. proposal since the property is zoned agriculture but agreed to hear any concrete proposals from Mrs Knowles. Ray Bush appeared before council to explain the progress of a trailer camp he is planning on part lot 23 and 24 on the Maitland Concession and to request . a building permit, for a service building. Council issued the permit. A draft pian for a proposed trailer camp site on part lot 37 Goderich Twp. Council meets Goderich township counc held a special meeting recently to process three bylaws. several tile drain loan requests and the tenders on a municipal drain. The three bylaws governed a tree planting project. the town- ship's secondary plan and a mobile home park bylaw. The tree planting bylaw approved a planting project with John Manning on Lot 42 of the Maitland Concession and was given three readings and passed. A bylaw to adopt the township's secondary plan was given the first and,second reading and was approved for the third and final reading. A third bylaw outlining the stipulations owners must meet when developing a mobile home park was read in draft form and • was filed until some recommendations for changes can be con- sidered. Council discussed the tenders for the closed section of •the Gerritt drain and decided that L.H. Turnbull be hired on a time and material basis to install the closed section of the drain. Council authorized the MVCA to invite bids for the study under the guidelines laid down by Mr. Deslauriers.
